Thanks for the greeting to you and the others who welcomed me.
I assumed when I joined up that this was a genuine forum, and it seems that way.
As you might have guessed I thoroughly enjoy IKTS, more so than FF.
I'm looking forward to all the banter during the season.
And because this site is hosted by a betting company, I expect the opposition to be tough.
But as long as I come in the top three or four I'll be happy.

Thank you Hotspur and Slick for your interest in a H2H.
Obviously with just three of us, it won't work so with your permission I adopted you both in my on-going H2H called THE GOLDEN PARROT.
I'll start you both from last week's results (Hotspur/Midred unfortunately it's zero) and you can see how you get on.

I've just entered last week's scores and Slick you are joint front runner.
I'd like to also advise you that this table also includes a team managed by a Slick - now don't get confused, I know he will.

    Funny game IKTS.
Today I scored a meagre 10 points but unexpectedly rose in our mini-league.
There were some very high scores but also some very poor ones.
Tomorrow I have my bonus card on the Tottenham v Swansea game.
Hopefully that will put me back with decent numbers for the Gameweek.

Following representations from a member of The Golden Parrot H2H league for me to publish original IKTS scores to confirm the accuracy of my arithmetic, I will now be doing exactly that.
The player's concern is that this H2H has managers from two different IKTS mini-leagues: The Golden Parrot & Malvern Prem.

    Gameweek 1
Malvern Slick 70 pts (8-0) 0 pts Hotspur

    SteveStar 40pts (0-3) 65pts BoneHead

    Blind Blogger 80pts (2-0) 70pts PapaHanks

    Hardly Athletic 105 pts (6-0) 50pts Alienz

    Terry's Tigers 105pts (10-0) 10pts TopGooner63

    Old TomCats 45pts (0-8) 120pts Colin Hancox

With almost all games completed for game week 2, the table...

    31 entrants, that's the top 13
Betnod being well represented by Slick and Traeth at present.
We all need to shape up though, the leader is just 12 yrs old!

Good start Slick. I've had a mare in the opening fixtures. Plenty of time to turn it around though.

Anybody know who James Balmforth, ikts and deejaybeex are?

Good week for The Old TomCats who moved up in table with 50 points. Not the best agreed (that was Cameron Fletcher with 130 points who becomes our mini-league leader).
Between Cameron and three others, they have moved Malvern Prem up from last week's 1004 to a distinquished 358 in the IKTS League of Leagues. (I don't know who the other three players are but hope I'm one of them.)

All three players who are in the H2H did well. Although both Slick and Hotspur/Mildred managed a zero points score, there were 8 players out of 12 who had minus scores. And as luck would have it, all three of us managed to win their match this week.
Slick had a very good 8-0 win while Hotspur managed 1-0. TomCat won 7-0.
That is what I love about H2Hs - the best teams don't always get the best scores. Luck comes into it as to whom teams are paired off in Gameweeks.
As a consequence Slick is top of table, Tom mid-table and Hotspur if off the bottom with points despite starting a week later than anybody else.

For the first six weeks of the football season, some pundits refuse to speculate on predicted results. This weekend probably shows why. In my own mini-league nobody correctly forecast the results for Everton/WBA or Cardiff/Man City.
In fact out of ten players, we only had two perfect scores. Most of the guys placed their Insurance on the Man City v Chelsea game, but nobody predicted it would be goal-less.

Week 3 results have been badly delayed. Would seem IKTS did not put a shilling in the electric meter or something just as daft.
Anyway with all the delay, I discovered that they have underscored me by 15 points on my Bonus prediction.
Therefore I've dropped a place and am equal number of points with Slick. (Hopefully this error will be amended this week or by next Gameweek). Currently we both have 140 points and are joint 9th.
Mildred/Hotspur, who joined my H2H scored a fantastic 115 points this week, which has jumped him up to the top half of the table. His fantastic score is down to the fact that he correctly placed his Bonus on a winning prediction. (So much for complaining earlier that he didn't know the rules – mmmm)
Our early league leader Cameron Fletcher maintains his position at top of table but only with an average score.
Daniel14 scored an impressive 100 points, but I'm almost positively sure that it was computer generated possibly because the IKTS site was down and Daniel could not place his forecasts.

At the end of this shortened gameweek, Malvern Prem have moved up the Championship table by 75 places and we now sit 281st.

I don't think they have underscored you on the bonus, have they? The bonus is either x2 or x3 depending on the teams involved, if I remember rightly games involving the top 4 from last season are x2 (although I stand to be corrected on that). You got the correct winning margin, but not the exact score, so 15pts. They gave you 30pts so if the game was x2 for the bonus, that would be right. Although of course if I'm wrong with the above, and the game should've been x3, then they have underscored you.

I wrote to IKTS with a bit of feedback and this is one of the answers received that might be of interest to all.
I will be reverting back to username.

    - Player’s real name and not their username are being used on the league tables
Players can choose to show their real name or username, which is why you're seeing both. Where the real name is displayed the player has chosen to do so. They can change it by going in to their Account Settings section and changing the Show Real Name checkbox accordingly:

You can also just not put your real name in the first place. Although admittedly I may not find this such a good idea when I get all 10 scores correct and receive a cheque for 1 million payable to Mr RC Gills :unsure

I hope it is beers all round.

By the way, IKTS have assured me that I got it wrong and the Arsenal game was X2.
Teach me to be more careful in future.

    Messages for Slick & Hotspur:
Slick, you managed a goal less draw against SteveStar, with you both amassing 15 points in the main IKTS game.
However Slick you remain in top spot.
Hotspur/Mildred with your magnificent result this week were shoehorned in for a win. But sods law deemed that you were drawn against another high scorer, BoneHead with 105 points, and will have to settle for a 1-0 win.

IKTS results for the rest of players in this H2H can be found on my mini-league The Golden Parrot.

    Hi guys,
I've noticed that most on this site and especially those competing in this league also enjoy playing Barclays Fantasy Football - as I do.
Anyway with the break last weekend for the Internationals games and out of boredom I Googled various Fantasy games and came across PREDICT THE SCORE (Every game counts), which is an amalgamation of both FF and IKTS.
Basically to compete a player must input their game predictions but also nominate 5 goalscorers.
I've just joined so cannot say more but it looks a little interesting, even if run by what appears to be a one-man band.
Love to compete against others who I'm getting to know from here. It's free to enter.

Just letting you know that I for one will have to give this one a miss, newman. Its all I can do to remember this one.

Plus predicting scorers as well tends to make it a lottery doesnt it:unsure

Know what you mean about being bored last week.Words cannot describe just how much I hate international breaks.

2 fucking weeks. And I have an interest in many lower leagues!Only one more to go this year:)

    There you go,newman.

This week I managed to post my scores too late for the Utd game and also forgot to use my banker bonus and my insurance.

Im just too disorganised for this sort of thing.

I used to do the fantasy football when you only had about 15 transfers or transfer windows.

Nowadays you have squads.SQUADS!!? Jesus.I reckon anyone who does well in these games should put it on their cv!
