Hmm not sure i like that, his first game back could be against Atletico, he might have the mindset that he owes his team one. Hat-trick.

I've come to feeling tonight that Atletico cant win this league, it was the right game to lose tonight but they're going to come up just short in the end. A great first 11 or 12 but not quite enough quality in the squad.
The 3pt lead just got me a bit excited there as this would be my best bet of all time coming in, but in reality they are still the outsider of 3, and rightly so.
Diego Ribas re-signed for them in the transfer window, that's a positive for me, but still not enough imo. It's coming to the point of the season where injury's kick in and players have to be rested for CL games, this will hurt Atletico far more than the other two.

I've taken Barca, £40 @ 13/10 to get my stakes back and lock in a small profit, but i think it's going to be Real's title now.

RC, could you run us through the head to head situation please? What happens if each of the three finish level on points with one of the other three? And who would win if they all finished level (which is not impossible)

Impossible to say at the moment, as they've all only played each other once. Real Madrid have lost at home to Atletico and away to Barca, so they're not in a particularly good position at the moment in terms of H2H. Atletico v Barca was a draw.

Think it's only aggregate score counts in terms of the H2H, no away goals counting double or anything like that.

Don't know for sure what happens if it's a 3-way tie, would guess it's a mini-league based on the 6 games played between the 3 sides.

Wasn't sure before, but after last night's result, I get the suspicion Punter's probably right about Atletico's chances, that was a terrible result for them last night.

ok Ta mate. So the games coming up between the three could well decide the title anyway

I watched the first 30 minutes of the game then turned it off and went decorating. Atleti looked really tired and it was clear to me by then that they were going to lose. That's two on the trot poor performances now.

I've had it in my head since game week 1 that Barca v Atleti in the final fixture of the season, could well be a title decider, possibly between the three of them. I'm not so sure now though.

Here's 10 games that could decide the title..

Well R.Sociedad did me a favour yesterday by beating Barca but in typical fashion Atleti are failing to capitalize again. Currently losing 3-0 at Osasuna.

A good win in the CL midweek though and they are in to 12/1 now.

Nothing yet, nothing much i can do really, i dont think?

The Champions Lge draw was a big knock back, i was hoping for Dortmund or Utd, then after those anyone bar Barca or Real. I would of even had slight hope with Bayern. The CL bet now looks doomed though, i would probably of been able to lay some off at the semi final stage but it's really hard to see that now. I'll let it ride though, i'll not lay it off at over 20's.

My best hope remains with the league now, and that's a remote chance imo. If they win their remaining 9 games they'll be champions but they face some tough opposition, hardest run in of the three teams i think, though Real have some tough opponents too. Barca have what looks a very easy run in.

If they manage to get to a lay price of around 4 or 5 in either competition i'll probably go in then, it's looking unlikely though. Even top of the league now they are still 6/1. I think my only hope of laying at the right price has it's last chance this weekend. Atleti and Barca look likely winners but Real face a tougher one away at Sevilla. If they slip up there i might just get that 4 or 5 lay off price.

You'll have to excuse me if I'm not feeling too sympathetic for you mate but I'm the nob who backed United to win the Champions League at 50/1 last week before the second leg and passed up the chance to lay back at around 20s until the draw was made. Drew Bayern - out to 34/1. Of course i could still get my money back but my pride won't let me and it would have been a pretty pointless exercise unless United won the competition which they obviously won't. So I'm stuck with a bet that's doomed to failure.

:lol soz, I know exactly how you feel though. I nearly took 45's myself.

In what's been a shitty shit shit season for them though, i think they can get at Bayern. They've had some kind fixtures in the comp and struggled but i wont rule them out, or at least wont rule out you getting a price that suits you to lay off at.

I'm hoping for a decent first leg. A 1-0 United win wouldn't be entirely out of the question but 2-0 would be very nice - even if they ended up getting pasted away it would give me a decent lay price you would think - especially if one or more of the other favs had poor first legs

Maybe Bayern are saving their best till last as although they've been good in the CL, they've not really entertained greatly yet.
I can see a good result for Utd at OT, a result that will give them some hope going into the 2nd leg

Real did slip up, Atleti and Barca both won

I still cant get a decent lay price on Betdaq (5.8), having said that i dont really have decent enough funds to spare as i could only get the 100/1 with Corals.

A very tough fixture for Atleti this weekend, away at Bilbao, i'm not confident at all here and can only see a draw at best. Barca should win, though i'm clinging on to slight hope for a draw as it is a derby, nah no chance.
Real are best priced 1/10 for a home win against Rayo Vallecano :ohwell

    8 games to go.

Last game is Barca V AM. What was the score in their first game? even if Barca are 3 pts behind going into the last game the head to head situation could mean that they only needed I beat AM by a couple of goals on the last day to win it, which is probably why u can't get a decent lay price mate

First game between them was a draw, so Barça wouldn't even need to win by a couple of goals in the scenario you describe, a win by any margin would do it.

I know Atletico this season are a much stronger side than in recent years, but their last 6 visits to the Camp Nou have seen them lose all 6, by an aggregate score of 26-4 :unsure

Thought Barça were dead and buried up until the weekend, all of a sudden it's looking like it's theirs to lose. Still, it's only 3 weeks ago they were losing away to Valladolid, so there could still be another twist yet.
