It was great for us Spanish residents too for the first week or so. Spanish TV only has 1 game a day free to view, the rest are on a satellite channel. Was watching the games on Filmon for the first week or so, but now get a message saying FIFA has blocked their transmissions :wank

Taken under 2.5 in the Italy/Costa Rica game at the general 5/6. The logic being that Italy should be good enough to score first, and that Costa Rica might not be good enough to break the Italians down if the decide to protect their lead.

Of course, what I meant was, that Costa Rica should be good enough to score first, and that the Italians might not be good enough to break them down. :help At least the bet won, if for the wrong reasons.

England were garbage but I wouldn't say it was unexpected, could we have played better 'yes' but only to crawl our way out of the group and get stuffed in the knock outs.
At the end of the day we don't even have one world class player, Rooney was knocking on the door 5 or 6 yrs ago but no cnut answered it .
As for the midfield I don't think I've ever seen a weaker one so far as England is concerened, the ball was like a hot potato with noboby willing to sit on the ball and look up to see what was going on around them.
I won't knock any particular player because it's not their fault that they just aren't upto it because they are the best we have.

I thought England played ok yet again and were a bit unlucky to be honest. Rooney should have scored with the header and arguably he should have with the shot he hit straight at the keeper. Stevie Gee should have cleared the header and Suarez's reading it like he did was amazing but Hart should have done better. It was harder to jump and not hit the ball than it was to save it.

I never saw the italian game tonight so I'll be interested in your views as to who's going through with costa rica.

I see with lads England are out to 4/5 so no doubt even money will be available.

Are Costa Rica likely to be resting anybody? i do fancy England, Keg. Even though CR played better tonight than when they beat Uruguay. Not so sure England should be odds on though.

Could see England resting players too, maybe to give some squad players experience?

Good point TC. I wont be looking at a bet until i know who's in the team. In fact neither team needs to win badly enough, could be one to leave the 1X2 market alone.

Both teams will be putting out second strings, If so then you have to fancy England who have the strength in depth and won't be looking to go out of the comp with 3 straight defeats.
I'd expect England to make around 5 or 6 changes but keeping the core of the side in place just to get a result.

I'm not Hart's greatest fan Kegger's but I wouldn't blame him for either goal, the first one was inch perfect and he was covering the near post for the second because had it gone in there he would have been crucified.
If anything the defence was to blame for every goal England conceded in the WC one way or another, .Jagielka and Johnson being the main culprits.
In defence you need a leader to pull the strings and we just didn't have one, each defender just played as they normally do for their respective clubs thinking that will be ok, I don't know what the England coaching staff have been upto but every player in both games not just the defenders have been playing like strangers to one another.

With it being Lampards last game and the likes of Ox, Shaw, Lambert and Wilshere most likely to start I'm going for England. I wont get into the bookies till about 4:55 so the team will have been announced so I'll decide how big I go.

betting on friendlies and menningless games are a sure way to poverty but im convinced they'll still want to win

Eliminated England have made nine changes to the side that lost to Uruguay for their final World Cup Group D match against Costa Rica.
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been omitted, with Daniel Sturridge the lone striker.
Ben Foster replaces Joe Hart in goal, while James Milner, Frank Lampard, Ross Barkley, Jack Wilshere and Adam Lallana are brought into midfield.
Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw come into the defence.
Of the 11 players that Hodgson selected for England's defeats by Italy and Uruguay, only Sturridge and centre-back Gary Cahill have kept their places.
West Brom keeper Foster, 31, is set to make his first competitive appearance for the national side since the 3-0 win over Belarus in 2009.
Cahill is the only one of the four defenders playing in front of Foster who has appeared in the tournament so far while 18-year-old Shaw will make his competitive debut.
Lampard, who is to captain the side in the absence of Steven Gerrard, will win his 106th cap, while Milner's start will be the Manchester City midfielder's first appearance at these finals.

So - on betfair Costa Rica who have won both games are 4.4 whereas England who have lost both games are 1.9 :thinking England are also fielding basically their reserve team.

Surely logic suggests a bet on Costa Rica here who have beaten first choice Italian and Uruguayan first choice teams

Having watched all the games in this group I'd go for Uruguay Keggers but with the Italians only needing a draw and them being the masters of defending and all that etc etc I don't know.
I do know though that against Costa Rica they did look a bit rocky at the back and Chelini is not the player he used to be but even so he's still one of the best centre half's in the world and a class above any of the defenders we have, so it's hard to compare how Suarez and Cavani will fare again them.
I sill can't believe Suarez is fully fit after only having his op a month ago and he did look to be carrying a bit of weight, I think it was England's inadequacies more than anything else that made him look good on the night.

Don't get me wrong he's a cracking player but I don't believe he's fully fit, a better defence may be able to control him.

Italy were very poor against Costa Rica and if they play like that again Uruguay will win due to their committment but it's a very tough game to call because the Italians aren't going to turn up at this match expecting to win like they did against Costa Rica.
