Plenty of time still yet to enter, i'm not sure of the exact date but closing entries will be 2nd or 3rd week of August. I'm just confirming that Stuart Fletcher has paid in this week. He didn't have a great season last season but he's won the league twice before, winning the double (CL) in one of those seasons too. He's up for it again.

    Confirmed paid entrants..

    Howson
    Cleggy's
    Slick
    Kop66
    Mick Sorahan
    Stuart Fletcher

Nice one Punt, I'll ask about.
My brother also seemed interested last year and joined IKTS in Novemberish to give it a bash and was hooked.
I'll try and rope him in next time I see him.

Nice one Slick, get him involved :thumb

The Old Tomcat has offered to pay too, but i'm asking all those who wish to pay in to this by sending a cheque, to send it in early August, where i'll pay them in all together.

Mentioned to Slick yesterday Punt, that if your struggling for numbers compared to last year, I will put a entry in for my son (but it will be me putting the scores down each week, as hes too young), let me know if it isnt a problem me having 2 goes as such (im only trying to get the pot up).

    Cheers

Can I just but in here before Punt replies:
What you ask is not unusual in that having two teams with one manager. In fact in FF it is the norm.
However in IKTS would you duplicate your predictions?
Because you are such a good player, it would probably hurt you to alter your son's forecasts against your natural instinct.
I don't know how many players Punt wants, but SteveStar's brother BoneHead wants to join the competition. Also didn't I read that some others want to join as well.
I would suggest Howson that we wait until nearer the kick-off, knowing how many players have signed up and progress from there. We might very well ask you to pay for two teams or there again..................................

I think we had about 18 entrants last year, ideally we want as many as possible I would have thought.

I would guess that by having 2 teams, your probably going to predict similar scores per game on each entry, thats how I would personally do it.

Im happy to stick with just my own, but am more than willing to help out with another entry, if we arent going to get as many entrants as last year.

Im happy waiting till a week before the season starts for a decision, as I would need to give the money to Slick to pay Punt.

    Fantastic good news:
The new season 2015/16 for IKTS is now up and running.
I'm getting my team down and will open a couple of mini-leagues.

I have no problem with Howson having 2 entries, he could have 10 for all I care, every winner we've had since the beginning of this comp has been a good player but none have come back to retain the title.

As for picking similar results, well we all do that, once the season gets under way and we have a bit of form then most people in the comp should have similar predictions, the key usually lies in where to put your guarantee chip and banker bonus because over the course of the season that will do the most damage, Howson played his very well last year, as for his picks I knew what he was going to predict before he picked them and he'll tell you that himself lol.

Another lad in work is also interested in joining, I'll explain the ins and outs of the comp to him on Monday unless Cleggy or Howson has already done so and there's also an outside chance of his work buddy joining too but I haven't spoken to him yet.

I was up at midday but felt rough as fcuk, still got a sore throat and bad chest that won't shift, getting pissed last night didn't help matters either, I've spent most of the day watching the sports channels and 'on the buses' on my big recliner.

I've just been reading the fixtures, seems our first 4 or 5 games are also on the box.

When I get that bad, drown me.

The only ailments I usually get are from Kindergarten Cleggy, I'll let him off this time though because I've only felt like this since changing to a new ejuice last weekend, I'm sure I'm fcuking vaping diesel.

Thanks Howson, i'd rather you didn't though, i just dont like the idea of somebody having two goes at it just to build the pot up. I think we'll be ok for numbers now, thanks for the offer though.

Brilliant, nice one Traeth, you more than held your own in the Malvern league last season and have as good a chance as any of winning a pot.

Anybody can win a pot, last season we had 18 entries, It's all about hitting form at certain points during the season (though obviously the longer you can maintain that form the better). Here's a reminder of who won what and where they actually finished in the league

18 entries, finishing league positions in brackets..

    BPL £180
    1st £100 Howson (1st)
    2nd £50 Stevestar (2nd)
    3rd £30 Tolly (3rd)

    Champs lge £140
    1st £100 Cleggys (8th)
    2nd £40 Mick Sorahan (5th)

    Christmas Cup £100
    1st £100 Ben Davis (7th)

    League Cup £60
    1st £45 Tolly (3rd)
    2nd £15 OneDunMe (17th)

Highest score in any one week £60
    1st £60 Kop66 (9th)

I'll start a new 2015/16 Paid League thread up soon.

Instead of "trying to get the pot up" you could all club together and donate to my parachute payment :help
