Sore one for Luke Shaw especially considering he's started ok this season

Sore indeed, poor bugger. I've had him in my dream team since week one and as you say, he'd started ok. I'll have to go replace him with Rojo.

He's had a blinding season and started to show his full potential, even as a blue I hope he recovers quickly and can find his form again, I had a double break when I was younger so know what it's like, it finished my football days at a decent level.
It's amazing that they say he could be back in 6 months, even after 3 or 4 yrs I could still feel it and used to spray a can of relgex on my ankle before every game, that was amazing stuff before they changed the ingredients.

Saying that; that was the days before they could pin bones together, good luck to the lad.

We're United and top of the League:dance

Deservedly so too, they don't look a great team but are working hard and defending well which is giving the players up top confidence to play their natural game instead of having to keep chasing back, Mata is a prime example of that; who's looking more of his old self.
Can they win the league? #
That all depends on how those around them start to shape up, if it continues the way it's going then come the new year United may well have built up a tidy lead that could prove hard to catch.

    Fcuk, this wines good tonight.:)

We're fcuked Howson because we can't defend, we've chucked Millions at it and look worse now than ever at the back, our saving grace is Yaya being out injured, at least for the time being we won't be playing with 10 men and Fernando will cover the back 4.

At the moment if you want to beat city, get past the midfield and just run at the defence, they'll guide you into the box on the back foot and shooting range no problem, without Kompany pulling the strings we're hopeless.

Man Ure are scraping results together despite not playing good football but i do hope they get one on Sunday.

Could be the bet of the weekend at their current price.

Ahem!, wrong thread, betting talk goes in the betting threads.
I have to agree though although I do think the game is going to end all square.

More relevant to this thread is Martial getting player of the Month, well done young man even though I would have given it to Vardie myself.

As you know I was off work too.
None of the nearside electric windows on my car are working so I bought some 'fit any car' controllers off ebay to get them going again.

Managed to get the Front one working after a bit of fiddling, not exactly right because I've lost the 'up and down' in one touch function and at it went down instead of up and visa versa but managed to solve the latter problem by swapping two wires over, anyhow the front ones now sort of work but the back one was a nightmare.
I couldn't get the fcuking door panel off even though I took about hundred screws and bolts out of it, I ended up with loads of bits and pieces but the bastard wouldn't budge.
In the end I took a breather and took the Mattress I was talking about last week to the tip, On the way I was trying out my new front window by sliding it up and down at the click of a button, then thought I'd try the back one, low and behold the fcuking bastard started working, even though the door was in a million bits.
When I got back I put it all back together and to my surprise it still worked after that lol.

I'd say Mata was Uniteds player of the month too if I was a United fan voting for it

Yes, I got the impression we were a bit more Man Utd with that performance. Winning without impressing.

Youve played chelsea, city, utd, everton and spurs away from home - if you can break some of these teams down at home (and bottom half teams with 10 in their own half), rather than relying on the counter attacking football you play away from home, then your in with a chance, cos the league is wide open.

I totally agree about the league being wide open.
It's hard to call Liverpool's chances, there's big optimism here obviously but we will need to sort out the home form as you mention.

I still think City will just edge it, but Utd or Arsenal wouldn't surprise me. Nobody will be smashing any points record, that's for sure.

I don't think City will do it either, were shit at the back without Kompany and shit when it's windy so that's us screwed over the winter months.

We're just in too many cup competitions full stop and along with that comes Injuries which we're racking up, If United get kicked out of Europe tomorrow night put your money on them. they're boring as fcuk but they ain't getting beat, not scoring either but once they do they could go on a roll which could well happen should they only have one game a week.

I think Arsenal win it but my back and lay bets have me wanting United or City (who I just backed again after the weekend's defeat). Leicester or Liverpool would be a disaster for me but they would have to be in a decent position in Feb before I even started to get worried about them. As it is, I'd give them absolutely no chance.

Scrap what I said above because I'd forgot about the Europa cup, LVGallonhead will be under a lot of pressure now and I have a feeling he might just go for it rather than trying to get out of the comp asap.
