For this afternoon, I'm not as convinced as the bookies that Croatia should be such heavy favourites against Turkey so I've taken Turkey/draw at Corals 20/23. If it looks as if I'm wrong if there's no early goal I can always lump on the Croats.

I was obviously wrong about Croatia who looked a class better. I was going to leave it till half time to hedge for a profit, when they scored.

Backing Lewendowski to score for Poland v N Ireland at Paddy's 11/10. Poland look better on paper but I expect NI to have the spirit and as Poland can be dodgy at the back (apparently) they might have to score more than one to win.

I've taken Austria in the afternoon game. They had an excellent qualifying while Hungary were modest, and the squad list looks better on paper. I've never heard of the club Hungary's main 'keeper plays for! General 3/4

I think Portugal may be taking this game a bit too lightly. I've just heard the BBC commentator say as he was reading the teamsheet "Ricardo (missed second name) who's injured nanny partners Ronaldo upfront".
