A 1 goal win would give them top spot, as long as long as Iceland don't beat Austria.

Although saying that, I'd still go along with ODM (possibly with the exception of the Forest bit :lol)

A tough one to call who's going to win it.

    5.5 - France
    6.2 - Germany
    7.0 - Spain
    9.2 - Croatia
    9.6 - Belgium
    12.5 - England
    13.5 - Portugal
    20.0 - Italy
    28.0 - Poland
    38.0 - Wales
    55.0 - Switzerland
    140 bar

Not sure why Croatia are so short or why Poland and Switzerland are so big?

I would guess Croatia's short odds are due to them being on the opposite side of the draw to France, Germany, Spain, Italy and (ahem) England. They've got a 3rd placed side in the 2nd round, then if they win, Switzerland or Poland in the QF.

I'm heavily into Belgium but that's entirely due to my pre-tournament bets (some of which I appear to have placed twice with different bookies when I was pissed :lol). I made the mistake that many have made in this comp' and in the world cup in looking at their impressive list of players and somehow thinking that that would make them a decent team- Nope. Has Leicester winning the Prem' tought us nothing ??

I decided I'd lay all the top teams just before their first games with a view to possibly backing them back at bigger odds afterwards and, although I haven't always been able to get those bigger odds and on some I've decided to just let some of the lays run anyway, the strategy has somehow left me in a pretty good position with the exception of the Belgium bias and my usual lay of England to win it.

I could lay out my Belgium bets but that would leave me without much of an interest in the win market so i'm letting it run. I intend to adjust the whole portfolio to get France on my side as they look a solid team to me. Decent defensively with world class strikers. On the other hand, Spain are shite at the back and have no strikers (yes I know:wasnme) Germany are bang average (couldn't understand the wankfest over their first game - I thought they were fucking shite to be honest). England are the polar opposite of France in that they are wank at the back and up front as well. If they are to win anything Ali and Kane need to start clicking.

Croatia are one of my losers but I can easily see why they are priced as they are given the potential path to the final and if they do get their Perisic will surely be the player of the tournament - I've been well impressed with him so far. I may be wrong because the system is so complicated but I think Croatia could end up playing Portugal in the next round if they finish 3rd in their group. If that were the case Croatia's price would go out and I'd be jumping on them.

    my pre tourney bets were
    Italy @ 16
    a patriotic bet on Wales @ 80/1
    and Griezmann topscorer @ 8/1

With Wales winning the group thaey have ended up in the half of the draw that has the "dark horses"
We'll be probably playing Turkey or Northern Ireland next, both are beatable but a home nations match is so unpredictable.
In the quarters we meet the winner of Group F winner v Group E runner up.
A win there gives us a semi against Switzerland/Poland /Croatia/? -a third place team.
    That's my dream

I'm on Greizmann too mate. Was chewing the table when he missed two gilt-edged chances in the first game (three counting the rebound from one that he fucked up again with a shit header)

Portugal 21 on Betfair now for anyone who still thinks they're not fucking garbage. No doubt they'll get through but how can you fancy them to beat anyone left in the competition is beyond me.

England have been pretty impressive apart from the fact we can't hit a fcuking Barn door, coming second in the group though has really screwed us up, we're gonna get smashed.
Looks like we're playing Portugal next, that could be a lively game b4 we go home on Pens.

Sorry Slick, England have been predictable as fuck so far. No point at all in dominating games if you can't finish teams off. Take away the last minute winner v Wales and we'd have drawn all 3 games against bang average sides. We scored one goal against the same two teams Wales scored 5 against.

I wouldn't bank on us beating Iceland and have zero chance of beating the french even with their dodgy defence.

I agree and it's all Woys fault.
Same old, Same old, it's like the WC nightmare all over again. I wouldn't mind but Townsend was his best player in that comp and the old bastard drops him for the Euro's when he was bang in form at the end of the season.
I'd have took Carol too as an option when we can't score against the shite sides we've been up against.

Watching England has become like watching Man U under LVG, at least LVG was a character unlike Roy the cardboard box.

Now I've said that he's gonna prove me wrong and set the tourny on fire.

    Negative fuckers.
Apart from scoring as many as they should of England have been superb. They'll click upfront now and piss this. If Germany dont :giveup

I still haven't worked out how the draw works. Since when did a team that finishes 2nd play a team that also finished 2nd :thinking

Since they decided that four of the third placed teams go through, which means that four of the first placed teams will need to play them, leaving six second placed teams. Two of the winners will have to play two of them which leaves four second placed teams who then have to play each other.

One way traffic in their game with Croatia but I guess I will have to be sensible and try to trade out in case of a penalty shoot out

105 minutes played and not a single shot on target all game. No way can either of these sides win this comp.
