ODM, It may have something to do with the fact that, the most successful English teams need the Irish, real men that wear their hearts on their sleeve, not a pack of overpaid ladyboys as on the England team. There is only one English player we would have out of that lot and thats the White Pele, but then again his roots are in Ireland. I really hope we are in the same group as England at Euro 2012, then it will be Stuttgart all over again.

I couldn't care less if United go on to win the quadruple now Suirthing, that 6-1 to City fans means we can fcuk you right off the next time you start rubbing our nose in it. To any United fan around here it was total humiliation on your own patch, I just have to go outside the front door to see how much it hurts, I haven't seen a United shirt all day for the first time ever in my life.

Are United on the decline? I doubt it , not while Fergie if there anyhow, I've seen them come back to many times over the years to rule them out, I will say though that City have a lot stronger squad, in fact out of the current crop I'd say only Rooney would get near Citys first team.
I'm not predicting anything for City this season either as I've been through to many dissapointments with them, what happens happens, thats how you are made to think being a City fan.

That 6th goal though was just sublime, 5 was not enough as we've done that before in my lifetime, 6 at the swamp was the cherry on the cake, you want to count yourselves lucky it was not double figures.

Wayne your not the first one to mention 1-0 another red in work said exactly the same thing, it was 1-0 because I'm not counting the goals after Evans was sent off, it must be the United mindset of not appreciating anything any other team achieves , its always somebodys fault, Fergie is just the fcuking same.

I'm from Salford anyhow Suirthing which is a lot worse for a blue, as its Uniteds homeland and their biggest fan base, OT is in Salford quays and a smidgeon over the border so physically its in Trafford , The Cliffe though, 'Uniteds training ground' for many yrs before the first team relocated to Carrington is in Salford and still used for Uniteds youth team.
When i was younger you would see lots of the United first team drinking in the local boozers around the Cliff.
United even pinched the term 'Red Devils' off Salfords rugby league team.
So United's History allthough originating from Newton Heath had more local ties and history with Salford , you get hardened to growing up a blue there but the United bias in Salford is unbelievable, Put a City shirt on and walk into any Salford boozer and you'll know what i mean.

Manchester is much more even, east is predominantly Blue and Northwest Red, then south is a bit patchy as you have moss side and hyde which is mainly Blue due to Maine road being based there, then you start to go into sale and Altrincham which is probably more red.

I've been living in Bury for the last couple of years and if anything I'd say here i see a lot more City than United shirts, saying that I have seen a large increase in the amount of people wearing City shirts knocking about the whole north west of England since Citys takeover.

Talking about the United accents on talksport i had to laugh at some of last yrs vids of the FA cup semi where there were United fans singing 'fuck off Mancs back to Manchester ' in cockney accents outside the stadium:lol

Fuckin hell, that's possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard. The two most successful campaigns you've ever had were when you had a team with more English and Scots than Irishmen. You should hang your head in shame for even trying to fish with that bait:roll

You think that gets you some stick, you want to try walking into a pub in Manchester wearing a Gillingham shirt the day after that playoff final :cry

I'm a Sunderland fan (go on, laugh :help) simply because I've lived in or around that city since I was 3 (I was born in Middlesex). I didn't choose my team, it was just obvious that it would be.

Mrs Seen's father is a Man Utd 'fan', even though he was born in Sunderland and, as far as I'm aware, has never lived outside of Sunderland (apart from spending a little time in Durham nick for attempted murder )....he came down ours on Sunday to watch 'his' team beat City, but ended up fucking off when it was 0-3 :lol

    Great stuff.

You would have had a free ale all day, that I am pretty sure of, what a day that was even the ref was celebrating with the City fans that night lol.
It's probably to painful for you but there are some great vids of that game on youtube, before yesterdays match that was my favourite City game of all time, the comeback against spurs wasn't to bad either.

Tell him not to worry as a lot of those at the game did exactly the same thing.

No, I've watched the video a few times since - would've been worse if we'd never got back to that stage again, but beating Wigan in the final the following year helped.

Just been and watched our goals again now - that backheel from Asaba to send Taylor clear was an absolute beauty. Oh for the days of an Asaba-Super Bob strikeforce :zhail

It was never always like this mind, in the 70's, early 80's and probably before but that was before my time, things between City and United were quite amicable, I used to go watching City with my red mates one week and I would go to OT with them the next, I've probably seen United at OT more than most United fans.
It all seemed to change around the time of Michael Knighton and the realisation that United could be made a PLC, that failed but the seeds were sown nevertheless , all of a sudden United was all about Money and then came along Murdoch and the premierleague with bundles of it.
Then once United starting winning things the new breed of United fan liked nothing more than rubbing every fcukers nose in it, I saw ordinary fans who i used to watch football with change into complete arrogant nob heads, they weren't the only ones , they were turning up everywhere, don't get me wrong as i still know a few decent United fans who talk sense and don't see everything through red tinted specs but most of those don't go to match anymore as they have been priced out.

But in general the attitude stank, City were a laughing stock and according to a lot of rag fans United's local derby was now with Liverpool, Little City could go and fcuk themselves.

Thats why when liddle City fcuk them over I just love it, plus we have to make the most of days like Sunday because we can't put it in the history books as we have none remember.

It was game over, we were stuck down there for another year, I think everybody was resigned to that, then Horlock and Dickov grab two belters, it was unbelievable .
It didn't even register at the time we had extra time to play, it was like we had won the game.
Tell the truth I can't remember any of the extra time no matter how hard i try to think back but do remember praying for Pens as I felt pretty confident with Weaver in nets.

After losing 6-1, Fergie is now desperately trying to sign Andy Murray in time for the second and third sets. :lol

Errr, I was being flippant slick. :lookaround

My view of Sunday? Did we get beat 6-1? Yes. Does it hurt like fuck? Yes. Did you deserve it? Fucking right you did.
But the fact is Citeh only tore us a new arsehole when we were down to 10 men and it had been a fairly level game to that point (see Charity Shield 2011). In that last few minutes when you scored 3 times, the lads were dead on their feet chasing the game. Look at Evra in the last few mins trying to defend, he could hardly walk never mind run. Look at Rio in the first few mins, he could hardly run either. :lol

I'm not saying, you shouldn't enjoy it. You fucking should and in a big way. And in your shoes, I'd be sticking it up every red as well as you have endured years of shite from us. But can we also have a dose of reality?

From a championship point of view, it's just one game. The media and public overreaction has been quite ridiculous. It's October ffs. Chelsea looked unbeatable and had a bigger lead at this point last year and we had less points so why is everyone bleating about it being over for United? Because they know fuck all about football and are jumping on the bandwagon (sound familiar?). We were worldbeaters 3 weeks ago with our new crop of kids. It's just one overreaction after another.

Let's see where we are in March when you've played all the bighitters and Da Silva, Aguerro, etc have been given the opportunity to show their talents on a freezing winters night away at Stoke. And let's not forget, this is Citeh. They fuck everything up. The Arabs will get bored at some point and go and build a sandcastle somewhere else. :lol

In summary, the country's ABUs (public and media) are behaving as pathetically as the plastic fans United attract and they're all cnuts.

By the way, I'm from Stretford. That's quite red. :lol

One thing I hope Sunday does highlight is our need for a decent 'Roy Keane' central midfielder.
We never replaced him and Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson - flat track bullies who just aren't good enough in the big games.

I don't think there was any doubt on our side either that it was over once you'd taken it to extra time. I can't remember much of ET either (well, apart from the bit where he asks to phone home), it was all a bit of a blur. As for the penalties, never mind Nicky Weaver, our penalties were that crap you could have had Dicky Beaver in there and still won it.

    Were you at the game?

Ha,ha,ha,:lol by answering ODM, you have indeed taken the bait, every one of them were Irish and all in the present team are Irish, 'If a dog was born in a stable, would that make him a horse?' Call the likes of Mick McCarthy and Englishman, but I would advise you to shout it at a distance or over the phone. Remember how Roy Keane was sent home from the World Cup for calling him an English Cunt :D

Well it would've made Christianity a bit more interesting, having Jesus as a horse.

    Sounds like a Viz sketch.
