I know there was a 31pt gap between the two last season but that was then.
A new season coming and i expect better from Man Utd this season and not so good from Liverpool.
United have made some half decent signings and are looking to get rid of the two wrong uns, Pogba and Lukaku. And i dont think they've finished spending yet.
Liverpool have bought a couple of youngsters for the future and are probably looking to save money to put towards the Anfield Rd end, extension.

It'll be a lot closer between the two this year and i've spotted a price that just looks way to big. A bit of an insurance bet too but also value in that i reckon i have a decent cover bet, without Man City and Liverpool.

Man Utd to finish higher than Liverpool, 6/1 @ Paddy Power.

Also, Man Utd without Man City and Liverpool @ 7/2, Hills.

I like your optimism Punt, but the best we can hope for is 4th - more realistic is 5th, dont have time to go into great detail, but the squad is just not good enough im afraid.

Weve no chance of finishing above Liverpool - save your money mate

How do you see the top 4 finishing then?

I think Utd have an excellent chance of a top 3 finish.
You've bought well so far and i can see fringe players like Greenwood and James coming up trumps when given the opportunity.
7/2 without City and Liverpool looks a great price to me.

Bit of time now - my lad has gone to bed

    Top 4 for this season:-

    1. City - think they will win it comfortably by 6 -10 pts

    2. Liverpool - very busy schedule this season, no new players and some players not having a break from football for a long time - will take its toll

    3. Spurs - This lad they signed from Lyon is a beast(Slicks view), and they are still a very good team - and probably wont do as well in champs league.

    4. Arsenal - Made some good signings, think the defence will be better this season, and i fancy Aubameyang to be top prem league goalscorer.

If we get Maguire and Dybala, we might challenge for 4th - need toxic Pogba out and all his cronies in the dressing room e.g Lingard to stop listening to the nobhead aswell - would love to see Chong, Greenwood and James play regularly - but think it will be the same shite as last season e.g Lingard, Mata, Smalling, Jones etc

I think you're playing your chances down a bit there but i get that. Without wishing you luck, i think you'll do ok.

One bet for me this weekend..

Leyton Orient to beat Cheltenham at 2.14

Good start Punt. Showed ability and a nice attitude. Did notice the times were wrong, so corrected the last two.

Cheers. Always seem to get a good start only for it to downhill from there.
A shame GG had to snatch up early on, wouldn't of won but probably cost me 3 place doubles. A small profit though.

A couple of bigger priced mules for later..

    7.50 CAN CAN SIXTY TWO @ 10/1

    8.20 ZEALOUS @ 12/1

    E.W Singles, E.W double.

Bristol City have won just one of their last 14 league games against Leeds (W1 D2 L11), losing both matches last season without finding the net.

I'm taking a chance they'll slightly improve that stat, this afternoon.

    Bristol City @ 3.25

And two smaller handicap bets, with a view to part lay, should City take the lead.

    City -1 @ 7.4
    City -2 @ 21

I've gone with Dascombe/Kingscote combinations at Chester today.

    2.00 SERMON @ 11/10
    2.35 BREATHALYZE @ 13/8
    3.10 ANGEL ALEXANDER @ 11/2
    4.15 MR JONES AND ME @ 16/1
    4.50 DRAGONS TAIL @ 9/2

    Doubles and up

Also, by my standards a decent each way single on DRAGONS TAIL, who won off 10lb higher last season and is well drawn.

    7.30 BARTIMAUS @ 11/1

    3 placed, last bet.

I've been looking for overpriced long shots lately. A quid here and there, early season stupidity etc, but they are about.

I managed to land this one last weekend after spreading 5 x £1 wins on various, similar outcomes...

    Boom.PNG

I've come very close on a couple of other occasions too.

I've had a couple more daft outsiders on Skybets featured games, tomorrow night..

    Liverpool (v Chelsea)
    FC Zurich (v St Gallen)
    Sarpsborg (v Viking)
    Valerenga (v Stabaek)
    Bodo/Glimt (v Kristiansund BK)

Over 1.5 goals in the 1st half of each game @ 100/1

BTTS in the 2nd half in every game @ 250/1

Unlikely but for a quid each, something to shout on.

One price that did stand out as being big/generous was the 10/1 about this..

1+ corners taken by each team in each half @ 10/1

I've had a decent bet on that one
