Just took the plunge and bought a new laptop, well not exactly new , only slightly used according to the ebay listing:unsure.

I've had my current on about 8 yrs one way or another, replacing this and that along the way.
Now it's looking it's age and running like a bag of shit, I hadn't noticed this until I got a new one from work while working from home and they were like night and day.

I'm surprised I put up with it for so long, after 5 mins use it sounds like a jet plane taking off for the rest of the night as the fan tries to cool it down.

I've still got the works laptop but I've no admin rights so can't install anything, so basically just use it for browsing .

I've checked out the spec and ordered a similar one for a fraction of the price that apparently has been hardly used, it's less than half the price so I'll take a chance.

It should have been delivered on Monday but as nobody was in it found it's way back at the post office and I've not had time to pick it up all week so I'll pick it up tomorrow.

It'll be good to view the Frankie Vaughn again.:wink

That 2nd hand computer you sent down to me a few years ago is still working fine :thumb though it was playing up a few weeks back, Kept shutting down my browser for no apparent reason. Did it for about four days but i've not had the problem since.

I haven't bought anything for ages, a Hereford football shirt is about all i've bought in the last 5 months.
I've got to get a cheap camper heater or something similar for the kitchen this winter and i've also got to buy a small garden pond for wildlife at some point. Any advice on those two items, welcome.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be don't fill the pond up until you get it home.

    Hope that helps :thumb

The Laptop arrived and it's been smashing not a mark on it until I dropped the bastard pissed up off the arm of the chair on Friday night, why has everything gone Italic?

Even when I dropped it no untoward damage was noticeable.

I forgot what I was going to say now?
Oh aye, Punt why are you getting a camper heater for the kitchen?
If the kitchen is cold can u not just make the radiator (if u have one) bigger?

I had the same problem when I first moved into this house but changing the radiator sorted it.

She had the kitchen done last year, no room for a radiator after she'd changed it and had it done her way.
I called her a cunt all winter for turning it into a fridge. We cant be falling out about it again this year.

Tell you the truth Punt It's just dawned on me I don't have any heating in the kitchen either, it's in the dining room that is attached and the wall knocked through. so the Radiator in the dining room when I first moved in had to heat two rooms rather than one.
It was ancient and when I changed it, it heated up both rooms np's.

If yours is a similar layout then think about it:thumb

The Washer packed in last week, to cut a long story short bought a new one and it arrived yesterday.

Un packed it tonight to plumb it in and the bastards got rubber feet on it.
WTF !! is that about? it meant I couldn't slide it across the floor but had to lift it and trying to get it under the worktop was neigh impossible.

Since time began all appliances had plastic feet to glide across any surface, I hope this rubber lark is not the start of a new trend.

I'm after a new Phone, nowt wrong with the one I have but I've had it about 4 years now and reckon as i'm using it more and more on the tinternet I should get something a little bit more up to date like a 5g jobby.

I currently own an Oppo and unlike me It hasn't missed a heartbeat in the time I've had it, probably the best bit of tech I've ever owned and it's at the lower end of the Oppo scale when I bought it.
My next phone will definitely be another one but they have brought out that many phones since it's deciding which one.

The top end are the Oppo find pro series so it'll have to be one of them I reckon, I can't afford a new one but they are that good, I have no qualms about buying a used one in tiptop condition.

Last purchases for me is golf balls and a ladies golf club. I didn't appreciate that some ladies clubs have different degrees compared to gents. I thought a gents 7 wood would be the same degrees as a ladies 7 wood but no so ended up buying a ladies club. Got the piss ripped out of me but it does the business so I'm not fussed.

Golf balls are expensive but I found out by chance that one of the guys in the office goes out looking for golf balls and he sold me a few at a decent rate. Been used but are in excellent condition.
