I say it almost every tournament but England will have a great squad and will have every chance but 3/1 is too short for me. Was hoping about 5/1.

France also look short at 4/1

Holland and Belgium to under achieve again.

Italians might be worth a fiver

    Thoughts ?

I want England to win goes without saying but as yer say 3/1 a bit skinny tbh

I think Holland could surprise but i think the winner comes from the top of the betting really altho at the prices none of em really appeal

when i was staying at a mates in Plymouth (2004) we had a fiver each on Greece at 66/1 .. that was probably my greatest football bet ever lol .. cant see me ever repeating that one again !

England have the players to win it but not the manager I'm afraid, Waistcoat has his favourites and oblivious to the bleeding obvious as a tournament progresses.
I doubt we'll get a better chance to win as we had in the last two tournaments, they were well within our reach if we didn't have a clown in charge.

This time around we have some great players up front and in midfield but defensively I don't think we're as strong as we was, which considering we weren't exactly great is not a good sign.

France for me , they know what it takes to win these things.

Some midfield as you say, Slick. Foden, Rice, Palmer, Bellingham, maybe Trent? I can't help but being a little excited by them. I think that they are that talented that waistcoat is irrelevant anyway.

I think we might do ok defensively too. Especially if he uses Branthwaite or Quansah in a game or two.
"He's only got little arms" Pickford has impressed me with his passing out from goal this season too. He can ping a decent 40 yarder.
He's also conceded the least amount of goals outside of the top 3, this season.

France need Mbappe to win it - will he be giving 100% ahead of (or just after his move to Madrid)? Maybe, maybe not. They just dont scare me anymore.

Scotland might surprise you Kegs. Switzerland only had some bang average results coming in to this and if you can field your strongest, almost strongest team then 2nd and 3rd are up for grabs with Hungary. Swiss to finish bottom in this group for me.

    :lol @ Pickfords arms.
I've always said he's too small for a keeper and I still believe that even though I know he always gives 110%, still he's better than any other English keeper at present so we're stuck with him.
saying that he's a very good pen stopper so will probably come in handy lol.

There was a time I used to love WC and Euro finals but i'm struggling to get into them for the last few years maybe it's a by product of City doing so well, which makes sense because United fans used to tell me the same thing and I could never understand it .
Hopefully that will all change once the comp starts, either way I hope we play a lot better than that shambles tonight, that England defence frightens me to death, I think we actually missed McGuire tonight it pains me to say.

Main bet for me is in the Top Goalscorer market

    Romelu Lukaku

    Each Way @ 16-1 [Bet 365] 4 places

Scored 14 goals in qualifying for Belgium

Good luck with all your Ante post bets, fellas.
I've got this week to do then i'm off for a fortnight :yahoo
I'm not placing any anti post but i do have a fund and a staking plan for all 51 games, for interest. I'm really looking forward to it.
If i was given a free Anti Post bet i would probably go with the hosts. They're the team i'd probably like to pull out in the works sweep, tomorrow.

I’m exactly the same as Slick. Half expecting to get into it when it starts but I couldn’t give less of a fuck at the moment . I didn’t even know they were playing last Friday that’s how much interest I have (or should Ok say supposed to be playing ?)

I don’t like Grealish but I haven’t heard one person yet say that he shouldn’t be in the squad. He can take players on before falling over and getting free kicks on decent areas . Ironically, I reckon if he was still playing in a shit team, he would have been picked .

I've backed France and Italy to win the tournament and also got Spain in a sweepstake so fingers crossed

I don't know whether Germany were brilliant tonight or Scotland were just that shit, for the life of me I couldn't work out Scotland's game plan or what system they were trying to play, they may as well have played with no midfielders as they were no where to be seen.

Gundogan looked sharp and looks like he's shed a few pounds, I think we may have flogged him a couple seasons too soon :frown

Scotland set out for a 0-0 draw and seemed to forget that Dykes wasn't playing. They tried to pump the ball long for Adams but kept miss-hitting it as it only seemed to go straight to the German midfielders.

When it went 1-0 the Scotland game plan went out the window.

I also fancy France but @ 4/1 its not a value bet for me.

With 16 teams going through to the knockout stage , the first match is a must not lose.

I'll be going for cross doubles draws
    6 doubles from 4 games
    Hungary draw
    Spain draw
    Slovenia draw
    Ukraine draw

    Top scorer Greizman

Has anyone been impressed by any of the teams so far ? No ones really stood out for me or looked particularly impressive

Nah can't say I have been although what we're seeing is pretty much par for the course as the better teams try and qualify as easily as possible for the knockouts.
That's when the cream starts to rise to the top, there's been no real surprises yet either apart from Belgium who were still the better team even in defeat and very unlucky.
I still expect them to progress to the knockouts
