Finland

This is Pernilla Karlsson flying the flag for Finland with När Jag Blundar.

I like this. It has a really soothing sound and melody. I just don’t see this doing very well come finals night; and that’s if it makes finals night! Finland are missing a few of their more reliable friends in semi final 1, so they are very dependent on a good draw and there being even more utter filth released from other countries. Either way, I can predict some good value on this to qualify and not to qualify. Game on!

from what i've heard so far this one is the most i'm uncertain of. just don't get it - it's at once uninteresting and meandering, but at the same time it's not unpleasant. my initial thoughts are that it is not strong enough to make an immediate impact and without friendly voters could be a surprise non-qualifier

I dont think it would be a surprise non-qualifier. well, I woudlnt be surprised by either outcome. It's really close for Finland. Close to 50-50 I feel like.

I've warmed up to my own country's song, and I've been looking for some polls and it seems like this is somewhat liked by masses as well. escforum's SF1 pseudo-big brother ranked this third. So, I'm thinking might there be some value in:

My thread on this was snuffed out,but there's no way Finland will finish third.

Last year they finished third with a song which flopped in finals. Granted the final flop was probably partly because of the bad draw. But the song was mediocre, nothing special and managed to finish third beating Russia and Serbia easily. It seems unlikely, I give you that.. Just seems high to me But you might be right. I'll stay away from it then.

In all honesty, I reckon it'll be Romania pushing for a place over Finland. I'll wait until rehearsals though.
