I have this strange feeling that Hamilton will win BBC sports personality award again this year. I think he is able to become the Formula 1 champion again.

If he was in a shit car then maybe Kingsize, Everybody is expecting Hamilton to win the F1 championship this year; which will take the gloss off it imo.

It's just been announced Froome will also be the lead team Sky rider for the Vuelta which starts at the weekend, It would be some achievement if he could win that too because only twice in History as anybody ever won the TDF and Vuelta in a single season plus no Brit has ever won it.
Could mean extra brownie points for SPOTY.

Too true Slick. I meant to post up last week when I read that he had decided to enter it. Fingers crossed.

I also backed him with a quid @ 55's but that was a while back and i've since realized that i cant stand the disrespectful prick.
I hope Klitchko kicks his arse.

Can't understand why Ennis should be 11/10 fav for this, Frome should be odds on, not 8/1.

Meant to mention that to you today.

Ennis is favourite because the media are making her everybodys darling after having a nipper and coming back and winning a World championship gold medal, whoop de fcuking wooo, When Moans came back after having one, she pointed the gable end.
Lets hope the public see right through it.

That batman stunt was fantastic Punt, pissing my sides watching that. Klitchko makes watching paint dry look exciting the boring unt, hoping for Fury to win, but doubt he will.

Hey Howson, Lord Luck Cleggy might be quids in again.
Every year he wins something on the gold cup and I don't and this year he asked did we want to go halves, so I said yes.
You guessed it, this year his horses flopped and I got a place, I had forgot all about it until I mentioned to him about being EW on Froome , Oh he said, you might as well count the stake as our winnings from the gold cup.
    He's a cheeky bastard.

Is Jessica Ennis the worthy favourite for this?

Chris Froome deserves more respect than 14/1

Rooney best priced at 25/1, in from 100/1 since becoming England's all time top scorer.

    Hamilton or Murray, fair enough.

I've just taken Corals, Froome @ 10/1 and Rooney @ 16/1 with Medium level stakes, with Murray @ 6/4 to break even. All W/O Jessica Ennis.

I'd imagine Murray's price is largely based on the Davis Cup anyway, as he's not won a Grand Slam this year, but the Davis Cup final is this weekend, if we win that (as we should), then will his price shorten further still? He'll have very nearly single-handedly won a team competition that GB last won nearly 80 years ago, quite an achievement.

Quite an achievement indeed, good luck to him. I'm tempted to have more on than just for stakes back now. I'll add some when i get back from snooker tonight.

I'm feeling less optimistic about Froome as everyday goes by lol, but out of the top four he if anybody deserves at least a place.
I'm also counting on cyclists doing well in the past, I'm sure they still have aplace in the British heart.

But like I've said in the past the person to look out for is Tyson Fury, should he somehow manage to get a result against Klitchko he'll be a shoe in for a place if not the winner because his fight is right on the cusp of the awards, he couldn't have timed it better and at 66/1 it could be worth a sneaky fiver.

I can't see the BBC wanting to give a disrespectful, fucking idiot gypsy twat, any award. Not even if he wins.

Dont tell him i said that though.

Just taken Stan James 4/1 outright on Murray, after RC's post about the Davis Cup.

    80 yrs. Sounds a winner.
