I like to add a few words to league table but normally wait until the TalkSport week's review. Bad form that there isn't one for Gameweek 13. So, a bit late but I'll give you my views.
A very low average score for the Malvern League, without any exceptional high scores, that drops us 6 Championship places. In fact with only seven players recording a minus score, it shows that we are maintaining an overall very high scoring standard.
Having said that, TomCat's 30 pts actually (unbelievably) pushed him up the TalkSport table 23 places to 143 best player.
Similarly with Reggie's 50 pts that jumps him up table 151 places to 452 out of 127,864 players. Additionally he has reduced TomCat's lead to 70 pts.
Slick, in third place with the week's high score of 60 pts is midway between a top of table position and the chasing pack.
The third of the Three Amigos, Kop66 remains in bottom half of table although he has moved up both TalkSport & Malvern League tables. His bold boast that he would be challenging the leaders has had to be put back another week with an average score of 30 pts.
xxxGDxxx with 35 pts is this week's biggest mover from 10 to 6. And last season's runaway winner Howson still has yet to acquire his first badge of any colour.

Saturday night and I've just come home after watching a 2-0 home win for FGR against Altrincham, a win that keeps the pressure on top of table Cheltenham.
Anyway had a cup of tea and then checked my Predictor score. Very please with 85 points, which is one of the best of the day. BUT I did play both chips, which from checking The Golden Parrot I discovered that less than a quarter of player did so. Therefore I fully expect my score to be surpassed by Monday night.
What I am more than pleased about, and which is real reason for this post, is that I'm currently 52nd out of 128,261 TalkSport players. Never ever been in double figures before.
And just to top the day off, I won the FGR raffle and brought home a decent bottle of wine. Cheers. :beer

Well done Newman. A 200pt gap at the top of the table too after my nightmare round. Damn Bournemouth and their 97th minute equaliser :hissyfit

TomCat has extended his lead over Reggie to 160 points despite having a less than successful Sunday. He now lies 113 in the TalkSport Player Championship.
Reggie had a stinker of a week but did manage to pull back some points on Sunday by securing his only perfect forecast with the WHU v WBA draw. Reggie's lead over Slick has now been reduced to 20 points - will Slick be 'best of the rest' next week?
And Mr Howson has at long last secured his first badge (Horray :clap)
I will not mention Kop66's score or position this week, I don't want to embarrass the poor fella.

Well done Tomcat, cracking score youve got so far, especially as this seems to be the most difficult year, I can remember for predicting results in the Premier League.

From a selfish point of view, im hoping you start slipping up soon ha ha ha.

    Thanks H.
Now you know how the rest of us felt last year when we couldn't get anywhere near your score, week in and week out.:wasnme

A decent lead but I've been in a league where the leader had a similar lead with two weeks to go and the player in third place (BoneHead) scored a fantastic 500 points over that period and won the title.
So I'm not taking anything for granted except enjoying the journey while it lasts.

H, your post got me thinking all night, curse you.
I did some research and came up with some peculiar stats.
For instance my monthly score for November of 175 pts is LESS than this week's best score of 200!!
This score of 175 pts is only TalkSport's 3,417th best for month but I have been consistently moving up table for that entire time.
My score this week of 65 pts was TalkSport's 9,271 best but I move up 30 places in the TalkSport Player's Championship to 113th.
This week's Player's Champion leader has 1,150 pts, 230 more than me. He also scored 20 more points than me this week. I'm not therefore in a position to challenge him but you guys can much easier catch me.
If that is the case, all I can hope for is that I make it as difficult as I can for you to do that. :)

Nice one Newman, 52nd is a fantastic position to be in considering the amount of entrants.

Hopefully just a temporary blip. Although the fact it's left me without my 20pt bonus is a bit of a shitter. Could do with some kind of freak result blowing everyone else's next weekend :crossfingers

Aye it's critical you try and hang onto that banker bonus even if it means taking a x2 for the team lol. you can also skip them and not lose it but I have never done that yet even though on many occasions I've been tempted to.

Yeah, I thought I'd be OK with Everton. It was them or City, and after City's last home game (not to mention that loss to West Ham) I'm a bit wary of them. Oh well, just have to build it up again. But you're going to gain a bonus 20pts on me next week, and 15 the week after, 10 the week after, etc., assuming you can protect yours

    Aye, assuming RC.
I could so easily lose it as I have done quite a few times this season so it's not a gimme.
And after looking at this weeks fixtures that's definitely the case.

I don't know, I had a look at this week's fixtures, thought it was the easiest one for quite a few weeks (famous last words :unsure). I'd say there are 4 pretty solid contenders for the banker this week, although I guess one of them's bound to come unstuck.

17 Malvern League secured a score of 20pts or above, which probably explains our plunge down the TalkSport rankings.
I'd thought there would have been a higher percentage of players playing their Banker correctly: there were three games that appeared to be home bankers, C Palace/Newcastle, Man City/Soton, & Liverpool/Swansea.
Almost 1 in 4 took out Insurance for Leicester/Man U!! From my observations about half of us had this forecast as a draw, including me. My Insurance went on Sunderland - they are getting better results than their early season relegation form.

Or maybe 3 of them will come unstuck (Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton being the 4 I was considering) :banghead

Another nightmare weekend, with Newman going down early doors and losing his BB I thought a few a us were in with a chance of gaining some ground on him only for every fcuking bastard team to do shit bar Arsenal, well done Mick Sorohan for getting himself out of that minefield.

Its going to be a huge effort now from all of us to get those points to win the Xmas comp.
Mick is well away with a comfortable lead.

Aye unless a major balls up occurs next week I'd say he's already got it in the bag.

Don't know about that, I wouldn't rule out any of the top 8. Slick's only 90pts behind, there was a 145pt swing this week between Mick and Slick, nothing to say the opposite can't happen next weekend.

Only 5 scores above zero this week :ohwell
