And there is two world title events from both governing bodies, the PDC this event would be classed as the bigger of the two as most of top ranked players play under the PDC which will kick off this Thursday. The BDO then kicks off in January.

Tv coverage PDC - sky sports and streaming . BDO live channel 4

Multitude of markets to be had with darts as with football.
Value, well bookies are well clued up here on the players.

PDC outrights Michael Van Gerwen 4/6 tells its own story, hes steamrolling all events and players before him,he can do from the front or behind in matches and seems to have a flawless game.Would be foolish to advice against him in this market.

Lots of 9 dart finishes this year, some televised too. This event has only produced 1 since it became the PDC Worlds.Odds ranging from 33s is upto 100/1,food for thought.

It's odds on that a 9 darter is going to be thrown basher. What markets are you getting between 33/1 & 100/1 ?

Me and Howson were wondering that today when we first saw Bashers post, 9 darter in the final maybe? but even then the odds seem rather large.

Im glad Topdog brought up the 180s market. This is not as straight forward it as seems, tactics, positioning of the first two darts etc can influence a players decision in going for this score,so in some ways the player you've backed can work against you if you getmy drift.Youll also find that winners of matches are not always the ones that score the most 180s.

Cant see past MVG myself, but Wright is a good price in the other half of the draw.

Wright got some new darts yet again, averaged 101 in hes first match, but just like all the others they just cant get past Van Gerwen no matter how well their playing.

180s so far, only two match losers have scored more. The 5/1 on offer for players to finish level on 180s scored represents no value, only one match has a draw occurred so far.

First bet of the tourney Cadby v Cullen
Cadby to win match and most 180s odds 3/1 skybet

Cadby is a debutant,Cullen the seasoned pro.Cadby played well and scored in the Perth masters against Wright and Taylor.Cullen is a virtually a perennial loser in the 1st round, making the 2nd round only once.

Cadby set up and up on 180s then started to tail off, what was shocking for me is throughout the 3rd set Cadby couldn't hit the treble 20 with hes first dart.Cullen played hes best match ever.Undeterred tho onto the next bet.

Unlucky mate, forgot all about the darts tonight after watching the scouse derby.
Watched most of the weekends matches but nothing is throwing itself at me yet so to speak, I will say Norris is a very lucky man though.

As with last Year, putting up Mensur Sulovic again. Was initially reluctant as his first round draw looked tough and he is in the same quarter of the draw as MVG. Despite a 3-0 opener, hard to muster much enthusiasm for his title challenge, but he is better than that effort and is the number 8 seed and you don't get ranked that highly by a fluke. Mark Webster and Robert Thornton are both tough, but eminently beatable and wins over those 2 will give him a date with VanGerwen. Still available at 210 on the exchanges and really don't mind a dabble at that price.

Sulovic's Austrian compatriot Rowby John Rodriguez, makes his bow on Thursday and has a tough match with Dave Chisnall. Be fair to say that RJR has disappointed since finishing runner up in the 2014 World Youth Championship, but has the game to trouble anybody. Was initially tempted by the 6/1 match odds, but instead hoovered up the £2 odd quid on him to be third quarter winner at 100 ( now 40 ). " Chizzy " of course rates a huge danger to win the whole thing, but this does look a huge " trap " game.

Chisnall is a worthy favourite here, but hes record is aint great here, last 16 is afar as hes got,Rodriquez was beat 3-0 by Chisnall last year but Rodriquez did beat Chisnall earlier this year.Im going to wait till tonight before I take a punt, see what the experts on sky have to say about him,Good luck Samoan.

Some cracking matches over the last couple of days now the tourny has reached it's latter stages, non more so than this afternoons epic with Anderson and Chizzy, if Chizzy learnt to finish under pressure he'd be up there with the big boys, never seen a player hit so many seemless 180's and get nothing at the end of it.

Barney v Taylor is the big match tonight, before last nights darts I'd have Said Barney will walk it because Taylor was dire against Painter but looked a lot better against Huybrechs, Barney on the other hand is Mr Cool personified and I feel will edge this game because Taylor these last few yrs looks creaky under the big pressure shots.

MVG shouldn't have a problem tonight, Gurney was pretty lucky to reach this stage and I'm pretty sure any more crowd shannigins will see them on his back all night, never seen a player look so forlorn when things aren't going right.
MVG could and should whitewash him tonight 5-0.

Taylor retiring at the end of the year, hes been going for 30 years and cant keep up with the young ones anymore - which means he cant beat MVG

The averages at this yrs World Champs shows he wouldn't be able to keep up even in his pomp so it's probably a wise decision, even so I don't think we'll ever see another player like him that has dominated for so long.
MVG has set a new benchmark in the sport which has taken it to another level.

Premier leagues starts tomorrow and continues every Thursday at different venues around the the country.
This years line up prices taken from skybet
MVG 4/7 Worthy fav at short odds, hes seems untouchable,as the others are in hes shadow,2 wins and 2 semi finals last 4 years
Anderson 4/1 winner in 2015,beaten 4 times in the last 4 matches with MVG quite comfortably, good player but Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis will give him tough matches.
Peter Wright 11/1 regular also ran in this event, has some recently acquired new set of darts yet again,3rd fav and nearly treble the odds of Anderson,he'll probably yo yo between good and poor performances.
Phil Taylors 12/1 , swan song time for Taylor, still a formidable opponent imho.
Lewis 25/1 has shown glimpses of the calibre of darts that saw him win two world titles, each way wouLd be a tough call, could finish ahead of Wright and Taylor.Anderson he beat and lost to in Premier league last season, although in recent meets Anderson has the Indian sign over him.
RVB,Chisnall, and Wade,RVB won in 2014,and will ruffle a few feathers with hes slow play,Wade past winner in 09,and Chisnall good players but always fall short.
Klassen and Huybrechts will be every other players cannon fodder.

    Tomorrows bet
    Wright to beat Klassen 8/13
