Well, 5 a day when i'm not working and have peace on earth.

I've had a little bit of success with this bet since the turn of the year, hitting 4 correct on one occasion (which included a 20/1 winner), and 3 times i've had 3 up too.

It's very doubtful as to whether i'll make an overall profit long term but at least with this staking plan my money gets to last longer, while at the same time there's always that chance of a decent payout.

As a rule i look for four market leaders, while the fifth can be anything, or i look for five at each way odds and halve my win stakes to accommodate.

The win stakes will always be ....

    10 x 0.50 doubles
    10 x 0.30 trebles
    5 x 0.20 four folds
    1 x 1.00 Accumulator

    Total Stake = 10.00

    Always Best odds Guaranteed.

    Today's bet is win only....

    1.55 - GOOD MAN VINNIE @ 9/1
    2.20 - WOOD PIGEON @ 3/1
    3.00 - SECRET INVESTOR @ 5/2
    4.05 - DOUX PRETENDER @ 3/1
    4.40 - FLOW WITH EVE @ 13/8

I was WOOD PIGEON lto and although a different joc on today, i reckon can follow up so maybe a single on this later if the signs are good just before the off, too.

Feel free to add your own bets in here at any time.

As always on my days off I'll also be hitting a few single bets this afternoon. It's worth noting that Brian Hughes doesn't often travel down to Huntington.
He's got six rides there today and is one short of his 100th winner for the season.

    3.00 - POLITOLOGUE @ 6/4
    3.15 - VALUE AT RISK @ 100/30
    3,50 - SIR WILL @ 9/1
    4,40 - BREWIN'UPASTORM @ 3/1
    4.50 - SPADER @ 9/1

I know i said i wouldn't be back till Monday but a couple of horses in my tracker have popped up.
POLITOLOGUE needs no introduction but faces a tough test against Altior. BREWIN'UPASTORM faces some improving horses but was so impressive at Hereford last time. A decent single will be added to this one.
I like the Skeltons at Warwick, so a couple of theirs have been added too.

Not a winner to date. 10 selections, 7 have gone off as Favourites!

With that in mind and the fact there's only one shitty meeting left today, i've gone for all big priced mules on the all weather at Southwell. So stakes halved for an each way bet.

    2.20 - MONZINO @ 50/1
    2.55 - KATIE GALE @ 11/1
    3.25 - GALILEO'S SPEAR @ 18/1
    4.00 - ALPHA TAURI @ 18/1
    5.00 - SANTAFIORA @ 9/1

MONZINO hasn't won a race since dinosaurs roamed the earth and was beaten over 7 lths by the fav 7 days ago, but he was running on past beaten horses and has a remote chance of nabbing 3rd again.

It's a stable debut for KATIE GALE, who likes it here and has Luke Morris booked.

You can never rule out a Mark Prescott runner over 2M on the AW so i'm hoping GALILEO'S SPEAR can at least make the frame this 2nd run for the yard.

I've only put ALPHA TAURI in because it's been shortened from 33/1 over the past couple of hours. Interesting that jockey L.Edmunds is booked though, he was the last jockey to win on him 11 races ago.

SANTAFIORA is an ex R.Charlton horse and it's good to see her trying 5 furlongs again.

All told i'm feeling really lucky and confident of being £1,118,804.65 richer come 5.01 this afternoon.

Single meeting, so all the tote money going in the one pot. Never bother with the jackpot, but have thrown a fiver at the placepot

Katie Gale the only one to place last time.

To sum my luck up at the moment, i had a quid on Sadio Mane to score a hat trick @ 60/1 last Sunday. He didn't get a sniff. He then goes and gets one on Wednesday :giveup

Anyway, i'm on 5 favourites today, hoping for a Nicky Henderson day...

    1.15 - DAME DE COMPAGNIE @ 2/1
    2.25 - GOLD PRESENT @ 23/10
    2.45 - CALL ME LORD @ 13/8
    3.35 - TOP NOTCH @ 21/10
    4.25 - CHEF DES OBEAUX @ 23/20

I'll also be having a decent single on TOP NOTCH in the local Laddies shop.

A non runner and 1 winner. A whopping 1.31 returned.

No five tomorrow but there is one that i'm on...

    Carlisle 4.05 - THE MODEL COUNTY @ 8/1 E.W

This is a locally owned horse and a friend of mine (non racing fan) knows the owner. He saw him today and it was said that they think she'll go well again. He said the same when it won lto, though not quite as confident this time.
However the owner is setting out early to make the long trip to Carlisle, the furthest they've ever taken her so i think that's a good sign in itself.

Make of it what you will but dont shoot the messenger if it fails to make the frame.

One last bet before Cheltenham (unless i win a shitload). And a lazy bet at that. Taking Kerry Lee's two at Ludlow and pinching ODM's three on the flat.

    2.05 - Native Appeal @ 6/4
    2,35 - Town Parks @ 2/1
    4.05 - Murphy's Nails @ 12/1
    4.20 - Kripke @ 7/2
    8.15 - Karijini @ 2/1

Punter - did you mention Steps and Steps could be an improver after changing yards? I have it in my tracker and it's won today (backed at 10/3) so if so, thanks mate:beer

Yeah, Steps and Stairs. I did mention it. I do get some decent info off a friend at work regarding the Henry Oliver yard. She's given me 3 winners this season, also told me when the yard is not so confident about a horse, too.
I did miss the YOURGONNAHEARMEROAR Bet at Hereford but if i ask she tells me what she knows.
I missed S&S yesterday as i'm not betting till Cheltenham week now and didnt look at the runners. Typical.
    Roll on 'NAM!
