Surprised to see BOWERMAN @ 7/4 in the 4.25 Newcastle. Would of expected odds on against this field.

I'm going to ruin my Monday by having a decent bet on this one.

BOWERMAN won eased down to win by over 2 lths.
Not the strongest of fields but he was quite impressive and is the first to go in my tracker this year. Much more to come.

Won this last year off 4lb higher. A slight positive is this looks a little easier, a slight negative is last yrs win was on soft. Has ran ok on G/Firm though as proven with decent 2nd after a break 11 days ago.

Risky after big disappointment at Chelmsford 55 days ago, but back on turf at a track where she has finished 2nd before.

7.45 Punc - GYPSY ISLAND @ 8/5
Very impresive 11 lth winner three weeks ago. This looks tougher but she could be some mare in the making.

I put this one in my tracker just last week. Progressing nicely, over came a wide draw to win by 5 lths, with relative ease..
This is tougher and i'm a bit gutted that i missed the 4/1 earlier. Small bet.

Excellent pick with SHALIR, Samoan. Nice one. Won well. Not far away with PIANO SONG, for a place too.
Not sure what happened with I AM SUPERMAN, looked the winner a furlong out, getting to the front, then looked as though it lost all rhythm?

My thinking. Ajax are still in a title race (level on points, two games to go), i'm sure they will want to bounce back from last night. They may well do.
But they looked well tired on 70 minutes, never mind 90. And they were at home.
It must take some coming back from, that defeat. I'm not sure how up for it they'll be. Half of them are likely to be sold on to bigger, this summer. One or two may have already secured deals. So how is their motivation still?

Utrecht have had a decent season, finishing in the play offs. It's still possible for them to finish 4th.

I'm not confident by any means, just small stakes, staked accordingly. Though i do think the 6/4 looks slightly big.

I'm going to be betting less frequently on the horses over the summer months.
I do have 5 in my tracker that i'll be looking out for but i'm kind of edging with any spare betting money to be put on ante post football bets over this period.

Obviously treating this as fun as it's impossible to make any sort of prize money out of it, but for a £49 one off payment and the fact it's named after my home town MALVERN, i couldn't resist.

Although there are a few benefits, i guess it's on par with adopting a Snow Leopard for £3 a month. All you really get is a cuddly toy and a monthly magazine etc. Only difference being, you cant slap a Snow Leopard on the neck and say "well done boy"
