Poor Sunday effort and di not bother yesterday. One domestic meeting today, so placepotting there, but also betting over in SA -

1.50 Vaal - Going with 3, all at prices -

HATFIELD SQUARE ( Comes here in fair form and looks a fair EW shout at 12's )
CRANBERRY CRUSH ( Better than last 2 suggest and probably worse 50/1 shots out there )
LEGEND SEEKER ( Looked in need of a break after being on the go a while and comes here off a low weight, with a good draw and with a top young jockey booked. Small EW at 80's )

3.10 Vaal - HENRY HIGGINS - Balance of form is pretty good and the 25's is more of a reflection of the fact that he is coming back off a long break.

Saturday 10th March -

10.30 Turffontein - Going with 3 in the South African opener -

PANTHER STRIKE ( Nicely bred newcomer who represents a leading stable at 40's )
TWICE THE MAN ( Looked in need of both comeback runs and hopefully fitter today at 50's )
KING OF RAP ( Slow starts becoming an issue, but 2nd of 5 runs to date reads well and has a squeak at 80's based on that )

11.00 Turffontein - COSMIC MIST - Respiratory issues in both starts to date, so obviously risky, but both runs were fair efforts in the circumstances and definitely has scope at 16's.

2.35 Turffontein - WINTER'S FORGE - Closely matched with a few of these and remains lightly raced at 10's.

3.10 Turffontein - REBEL'S CHAMP - Stable 2nd string, but fair chance at the weights and does possess plenty of toe at 25's.

3.45 Turffontein - PATAT - Shade disappointing in 2 starts to date, but bred to do better and is a possible improver at 50's

11.00 Turffontein - POSSIBLY NOT has drifted to 100's and could not resist a small EW at that price + adding it for the Forecast.

11.35 Turffontein - ANGEL'S POWER - Pure Blonde should be thereabouts at 5's, but AP, is closely matched with this one and for me should not be 33's.

1.25 Turffontein - MAZARI and MISS BOOMERANG - This pair have a bit of history and both are priced at 33's. Arguably they do have a bit to find, but not sure about they should be available at such a big price.

12.00 Meydan - EL CHAPO - Unproven at the distance, but chance if staying the trip at 20's

1.35 Greyville - YOUNG GUN - Much improved on 2nd career start and was back off a break, so might just have needed it. Hopefully can improve again and looks a fair EW bet at 10's with 8 runners present.

2.10 Greyville - GOLDEN PHEASANT - Steady first 3 maiden efforts, but much improved on 4th start and won well. Opening mark looks OK and should have more to offer at 14's.

2.40 Greyville - THE HIGH LIFE - Goes well off a short break and definitely capable on a going day. Bit to find with the principles at the weights, but not enough to justify the early 33's on offer. SORCERESS is getting weight all round and the jockey takes off another 9lb, so has to have a shout at 14's.

3.15 Greyville - DALE HOUSE - FRANCO was much better lat time over this trip and should go well at 10's. Preference though is for DH, who is slowly coming down the ratings and ran OK last time despite looking in need of it. Plum draw to work with and could easily try to make all at 12's.

Monday 12th March

1.55 Fairview - KENSINGTON OVAL - Weighted to get much closer to the FAV this time and sole career win did come over this C & D. Likes to be handy, so stall 4 looks fine and may even try to make all at 14's

2.35 Dundalk - Going with 3 in this h'cap, one of which NIGG BAY does not meet the 10/1 criteria, but would still be handy in a FC / TC -

2.25 Southwell - SONNETIST at 14's

3.05 Southwell - SIEGE OF BOSTON and MUJASSAM at 14's and 33's respectively

Sonnetist was challenged but found plenty to win with a bit to spare. SOB a non runner and Mujassam only 5th.

Wednesday 14th March

10.55 Greyville - FALCONER - Shorter on both starts to date and was indeed 2nd Fav on debut. Presumably capable of better than shown and fair EW at 10's.

12.05 Greyville - LADY ELIODOR - Would have liked to see a bit more from her coming off her maiden win, but would be shocked if there is not more to come at 20's.

1.20 Greyville - EXQUISITE EIGHT - Probably worth another crack at sprinting and could try to make all at 25's

1.45 Huntingdon - ST GEORGE'S OVAL - Nothing in a Bumper or pair of hurdles, but bred to do much better and hoping to see more today at 66's.

3.15 Greyville - SHEZA ROCKSTAR - Has had her issues, but is capable on a going day and looks a possible improver on debut for her new yard. Risky, but just could not ignore the early 33's

5.40 Huntingdon - TIME FOR ANOTHER - Nicely bred debutante and the stable can get one ready.

11.15 Happy Valley - ROCKET LET WIN - Failed to show last season and yet to trouble the judge in nine starts this term. Only once beaten over 5 lengths this year, so not exactly floundering and this is the lowest grade race over in Hong Kong, so not sure he should be 50's.

1.15 Happy Valley - PEACE ON EARTH - Has been consistent for a new stable this season and does look dangerous at 10's getting weight all round.

Thursday 15th March -

10.40 Vaal - MEXICAN PRIEST - Possible improver at 66's

11.10 Vaal - BELL TOWER - Decent pair of efforts out of the Maidens and current mark certainly looks fair. Surprised by the early 14's on offer.

11.40 Vaal - HARINGTON PORT - Suckered into this one again,as has too much ability to be 25's.

1.20 Vaal - TIME TO BE GREAT - Poor last time, but better judged on previous couple of runs and strong claims at 10's

4.15 Meydan - TAFAAKHOR - In fair form prior to last couple. Can't explain 2 ago, but car park draw did for him last time and no complaints on that score today. Capable of better at 16's.
