Some absolute fucking twat has just said on MOTD2 that if City lose today the title is out of their reach. I can't summon up the words of hatred for this utter, utter cunt at the moment. What a ridiculous thing to say! One of the reasons he quoted is because Chelsea look so strong. What? A team that needed a flukey penalty to beat a team that will be playing in the Championship team next season?Utter bollocks. And don't tell me that the sign of a good team is to be picking up points when they aren't playing well. The sign of a good team is to be playing well. Chelsea are looking strong because the rest are inconsistent and not because they are solid.
Now they may go on to win the title, they may even win it by a street but at this moment in time, I seem to be the only one on the planet who thinks Chelsea aren't going to run away with it.
They are currently 1/3 to back and 1.37 to lay on betfair. If City win today (IF) and IF Liverpool can turn Chelsea over next week, That price will be nearer 1/2 which will STILL be too short. And that's before City go out to play QPR in the evening (which, granted, they may well fuck up).
This feeling is based on more than a gut instinct, at the start of the season , I split the league into teams rating them strong, medium or weak. After today, City will have played 5 of my strong teams, 4 medium and 1 weak team. Chelsea have played 4 strong, 3 medium and 3 weak.
Whatever happens today, Chelsea are too short and I'm betting that there will be a time before may when they are at least double that price and maybe even over even money.
