Nice one Traeth, like you I like a bet for interest on this, I’m no expert either but the mrs likes the masters and it’ll be on the box here this weekend.
Spot on with the Tiger Woods, Paddy Power offer, there are 2 or 3 others going 6 places now and all are at ¼ odds.
    Some other bookie offers are…
Blue Sq: Will refund, as free bets, all single bets placed on any golfer who finishes within 2 shots of the winning score (to bets placed before start of 2nd round).
Corals: Will refund if your stake if your player leads after round 3 but doesn’t win the masters.
Betdaq: Commission back (outright market) if Woods or McIlroy win the Masters.

A bit of British bias for me, the two favourites are covered (Paddy Power offer included), my main hope betting wise is for Hunter Mahan.
    R.McIlroy 3 pts WIN @ 11/2

    L.Westwood 2pts WIN @ 20/1

    H.Mahan 5pts E.W @ 30/1

    D.Johnson 1.5pts E.W @ 50/1

    I.Poulter 1pt E.W @ 90/1

    20pts Staked

Early bets are KJ Choi, K Bradley, R Fowler and F Couples all each way (interest stskes only) I've also haf more interedt on Keegan Bradley as he's going to be a big star imo. If he handles Augusta then he could go close.

Couples had a decent tournament at the weekend and always seems to do well at the masters. I would settle for the same top 2 after day one as on 2010. couples and tom watson. Couples to be top senior could also be a bet.

Love this tournament , i would crawl over broken glass to have a go on this course , on back shift weekend so i shall see most of it :)
Tiger Woods @ 5/1 , not to be sniffed at , finding a bit of form lately , Luke Donald @ 15/1 , each way shot for me.
Rorys a brilliant golfer and will be around for many years , but my heart says hes not going to win this one , despite all the talk in the press.
Rain forecast for the afternoon of the first two days if thats any help to folk..

I'd give you 900/1 on him Punt.

I'm really hoping Tiger shoots around 65 on the opening day, as I will looking to lay him strongly. It will be interesting to see how many go odds on during the course of the tournament.

I've gone for a dutch on:

    Rose @ 30/1
    Donald @ 15/1
    Westwood @ 20/1
    Bradley @ 35/1. pays 5/1.

I've also backed Glover @ 500.0, looking to trade him back. He never gets in the top 20 but does trade lower in the tough tournaments.

Surprised how many people have gone for Kaymer. Awful record round Augusta with a lot of missed cuts, the course just doesn't suit his game.

I feel this should be Tiger's return, never out of the top 6 over the last 10 years, consecutive 4ths when not playing due to injury/personal issues, so now he's playing and driving well it looks good. Saying that too short to back so instead going with Paddy Power who are refunding if Tiger wins and giving six places.

    So my long odds are:

    Webb Simpson @ 66/1
    Kyle Stanley @ 125/1
    Robert Garrigus @ 200/1

Also taking Macpherson as top amateur at 7/1.

You're the 2nd person to say that to me this morning :hissyfit
I know nothing about golf Beam' ...other than Hunter Mahan will blitz this field of no hopers. I'll be counting my cash on him around the 10th hole in the final round. Hottest tip of the year. Honest.

Gone with my usual bet on VIJAY SINGH and got matched for a few quid @ 400. It would be a tremendous effort, for a guy nearing 50, but just can't resist at the price. Not to worried however as I was on him for his first 3 major wins and unless he plays until he is 100 ( He's fit, but not that fit ) then he won't owe me a penny. Alos went with him to be first round leader at 180's.

Been backing and laying all the way through. Went out last night (checking the phone every half hour) with 5 of the top 8 in the betting on my side and only one losing me any significant amount - Happy.

Woke up this morning with only 3 of the top 11 on my side (and one of those is Westwood who has no chance). I need Mickelson or Ooshuizen to win. Hanson and Watson lose me twice as much as I can possibly win and Kuchar is my biggest loser. Basically, I'm not in a good position. If Harrington has a good run I can get on him to turn him on my side, other than that it's just a case of keeping my fingers crossed. I've had to drastically lay Mickelson at the price he is now in order to balance the books a little bit to avoid a really big loss.

I knew it was all going too well.

I actually phoned two bookies asking for a double on Woods/ McIlroy not to be in top ten, but never got a quote.Just did Woods @ 6/4, which might be a blessing as Rory actually looks backable @ 6.4 to be in top 10.

18 players are in the -4 to -1 range. A few will play cautiously, hoping the field collapses and happy to be at the top end. the likes of Watson, Stenson and Westwood will chase at the end aand there are bound to be some horror stories.

Laid Watson @ 1.32 and will be looking to lay a few of the -4-1 range at around the 1.6 range.
