5.15 Wetherby - TIGER TIME - Nicely bred newcomer and the stable has a fair record in Bumpers at the track and can get one ready at 12's

5.25 Clonmel - OISIN JAMES - Not the safest of jumpers, but every chance with a clear at 6's

5.35 Newcastle - SUEGIOO - Poor overall strike rate and never been the most consistent, but capable on a going day and certainly gets the 2m, so the 16's overall looks big.

7.45 Newcastle - TAIFBALADY - Handicap debutante, who has been gelded since last run. Nicely bred and represents top connections, so a very interesting runner at 12's

11.00 Vaal - POKEMAN SHUFFLE and AFROGATTO - PS was much better last time under this workrider and if ridden with similar restraint, can get the extra at 12's. AFROGATTO is lightly raced, has scope for improvement and has the services of the best workrider at 25's

12.10 Vaal - QUEEN OF WAR and PEARL OF SIBERIA - QOW's best effort of 3 came on this track and has plenty of scope at 16's. POS can hopefully build on his much improve showing behind a highly rated sort and looks a shade big to me at 25's.

3.15 Vaal - HELIOS and CUMBERLAND - The former won well on debut and then got caught out wide on 2nd start, not a bad effort in the circumstances and can improve again at 7's. CUMBERLAND is the trainer's only runner today and may benefit from the blinkers being left off. Certainly has the speed to get involved at 16's
