Just for interest I've had a dabble on the Atlanta Flacons and the Cincinnati Bengals.

I used to really enjoy watching the gridiron on the box but haven't followed it for years. Maybe having a dabble on the outrights may get me interested in it again.

Who do you fancy Pete ?

Well I'm a bears fan myself so had my usual bet on them and feeling quietly confident for the season ahead and I wouldn't put you off.

I Like to back a few longer shots at the start of he season for an interest too, I like to take a run through without looking at the odds and take out the no hopers, then I'll take a look at kill anything too short, I set the bar at 30 this year because I think theres alot of strength left above that mark the ones with * were in the playoffs last year.

    AFC N Baltimore Ravens 30.530*
    NFC S Carolina Panthers 59.870
    NFC N Chicago Bears 41.090
    NFC E Dallas Cowboys 32.980
    AFC S Indianapolis Colts 44.620*
NFC E New York Giants 33.420
    NFC E Washington Redskins 41.720*

Out of the 3 left in it in the NFC E I think the Redskins are probably the best bet So I'm gonna eliminate the other teams

    AFC N Baltimore Ravens 30.530*
    NFC S Carolina Panthers 59.870
    NFC N Chicago Bears 41.090
    AFC S Indianapolis Colts 44.620*
    NFC E Washington Redskins 41.720*

I've got 5 left including my Bears, I think the Panthers are probably the weakest of the remaining 5 so I'll kill them and that'll be my foursome for the season ahead

    AFC N Baltimore Ravens 30.530*
    NFC N Chicago Bears 41.090
    AFC S Indianapolis Colts 44.620*
    NFC E Washington Redskins 41.720*

Going with the obvious choice of the mighty Oakland Raiders. Don' let the current Betfair price of 680 put you off. Terrelle Pryor for MVP.

The Raiders continue to drift on the exchanges and now available at a ridiculous 790. The Jets look to have the same sort of
( slim ) chance, but are only 250. Years of being a Raider fan make it hard to be optimistic, but expectations are so low with most experts having them recording between 0 and 4 wins ( 16 games season ) that it feels like they have got nothing to lose and can maybe play under a little less pressure. From a betting perspective some sort of tilt at the Superbowl would be nice as I could easily secure a profit. Purely on the Sporting side of it, it would just be nice to be competitive again.

Just gearing up for the Raider game at the Denver Broncos. 1:40am start and live on Eurosport 2. Does not look all that promising on current form, but the Raiders are doing better than most expected and if they can keep it tight, then you never know.

Thanksgiving Day over in the States, so 3 games tonight. Lions and Packers has play off implications, but my focus is on the 2nd game involving my Oakland team. Annoyingly they are currently 4 wins and 7 losses, but have been in most games. They visit the Dallas Cowboys tonight and it could easily turn into a shootout. The Cowboys look likely to be without their 2 best defenders and the Raiders could be anything defensively having looked a solid unit in a lot of games, but a disaster waiting to happen in others. Got to remain hopeful though and certainly they don't have much to fear from an average looking Dallas team. Going to go with ANDRE HOLMES ( Oakland ) at 16's as 1st TD scorer and will also throw in some wildly optimistic Scorecasts ( Holmes plus OAK to win by 25 - 30, 31 - 36, 37 - 42 and 43 points plus )

Not for the first time, the Raiders, blew a big lead and at times in the 2nd half it was plain embarrassing. Actually took the lead within 12 seconds and at 21 - 7, they should have put the game away. The only bright spot on the day was the emergence of the above mentioned ANDRE HOLMES, he did not score a TD ( Though did have one disallowed ), but made 7 catches for 136 yards. Before that his best game was 33 yards receiving, so this was a big leap.
