I don't know what the chances are of finishing up exactly level after backing 15 horses but whatever they are that's what's happened.

Golden Wolf is one of those annoying horses that is too consistent for its own good. It has gone up 14 1lbs since its last win and has been placed every time (second four times). The sort of horse it would be great to own and it keeps making little bits of profit with places but is locked in a battle with the handicapper which is stopping it from actually winning a race.

Oliver Reed needs softer ground. It has gone on Good to Firm three times and ran poorly every time. The handicapper may well drop it down a pound or two but the handicap mark is not the problem, the ground is (not that yesterday's run was a handicap but you know what I mean). I reckon that even on a mark of 80 on good ground or softer we will see a different animal. I wouldn't be surprised to see it appear on the all weather next where it could win a maiden or a handicap if it finds the surface to its liking.

Latrobe won at odds on. I've seen someone tipping this as an Irish Derby bet at 50/1. I've chucked a couple of quid each way at it just for a giggle.

I'm glad Del Parco is running today because it made me look back and realise that I didn't include its last win in my figures when I settled up for the day (post 946) despite Punter already telling me that it had won earlier. It won at 6/1 so the P+L needs adjusting by +70 pts when I get around to it

And indeed it did, obliging at 6/1 on that day. Has lost since but runs again today 5pts ew 10/1 200 Goodwood

145 Nottingham Napanook travelled well on its debut before finishing 2nd at 18/1. On at 20pts at 11/8 but will put a lay in at low odds as it may flatter to deceive in running.

220 Nottingham Honey Man is one that should win soon and the price today reflects that. On at 11/10 last night and again at 5/6 this morning for 10 pts each (20pts total). Pulled a bit on last run and then had no room when making progress - finished 3rd. Was also unlucky on first race. If it settles, this should be buying money.

Sooo picture the scene, I’m tuping all of the above this morning and I’m about to type in Fort Jefferson with something along the lines of “This horse is in my tracker because it was pointed out to me as a non tryer by Seen a while ago”

So I have a look at the form and it turns out that this is obviously on the flat and Seen was talking about the jumps. Anyway, it turned out that Seen was spot on (as usual) and it won last time out. But this is the flat so I dismissed it for this thread. Anyway it won at 16/1.
