Probably the best ever football wise but enjoyment wise as an England fan Italia 90 always stands out for me. I remember watching most of the WC82 games on a portable tv, sat on the counter of the clothes warehouse where I used to work, there must have been twenty of us around it watching the Italy v Brazil game when Rossi got his hat trick. The moment imprinted in my mind though from that WC is Keegan missing a clear cut header from a Brooking cross, think it was against Spain, can't remember if it would have got us to the quarters or semi's but I know it was an important miss.

Great boxer at a time where the middle weight division was at its strongest. Murray, nothing more needs to be said, one if the greatest commentators of all time. RIP both Marvin and Murray.
Frank Worthington. Met him in a boozer before an Acdc concert. Really entertaining character , and a pretty decent footballer.
Tell me about it, Moans is up in arms because they've took Corrie off. He should have popped his clogs yrs ago instead of being kept alive by whatever means and looking like an extra from the Walking dead.
I see Les McKeown has passed. Not much is mentioned of how big the Bay City Rollers were in their day but for the short time they were about, they were pretty massive, their fans wearing White denim with tartan trim and Monkey boots I wasn't one myself but know plenty who who were and still take the piss out of. Who doesn't remember singing this as a kid to 'Bye Bye Baby...... You're the one girl in town I'd marry. Big tits and a hairy fanny............ '
In fact I actually remember getting roped in and going to Granada TV studios, which was only down the road with some girls to try and see them as they used to film 'Shang a lang' there and them singing... B...A....Y, B...A...Y,.. B.A.Y.C.I.T.Y with an RO double L, E..R..S , Bay City Rollers are the best Honest, I didn't Join in.
Wife was a big fan back in the day. Told her of his passing yesterday , thought the piss head died years ago was her reply , how soon they forget.
I thought everybody sang it There was another with Woody in he lyrics but I can't for the life of me remember it.
