A decent "unbiased" preview from the Aussies' website

    http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/2015-six-nations-preview/

a fair bit of reading there

We are playing England in the opening match at home in a World Cup year when we are in the same group with Australia and only two going through.
We have a good side out whilst England have been hit with injuries. Winning this match will give either side a boost for the six nations and the World Cup,
As expected I'll be backing Wales for the Championship but I think France @ 7 are value but like Wales and Ireland they have two home matches whilst England and Italy have three home matches

I don't follow rugby but I've been listening to some guys at work and from memory here are their views.

    Ireland to win
    Wales are overrated
    France have went backwards
    England might go close
Scotland have improved and may give one or 2 teams a better run for their money
    Italy are piss

the situation with two matches to play , the next Ireland match is away to Wales

    the league table
    1 Ireland 3 3 0 0 63 23 6
    2 England 3 2 0 1 77 52 4
    3 Wales 3 2 0 1 62 57 4
    4 France 3 1 0 2 39 46 2
    5 Italy 3 1 0 2 42 92 2
    6 Scotland 3 0 0 3 50 63 0

A Welsh win could put the three sides on equal points if England also win BUT this latest news smells of a conspiracy theory if you have dragon shaped blood cells flowing through your body. Walsh does tend to referee the breakdown strictly whilst Barnes does tend to let things go at the breakdown. Barnes type of refereeing should suit the way Ireland play the rules.
It is strange that a professional referee selected for a prestigious tournament is unavailable due to "business commitments" when previously booked .

"Wales' Six Nations match against Ireland on 14 March will be refereed by Englishman Wayne Barnes after Australia's Steve Walsh withdrew due to "business commitments". from the bbc http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/31747947

p.s. I think Barnes is one of the best international referees

It's going to the final weekend and it looks like points difference will decide it

    the table

    1 England 4 3 0 1 6- points difference = 37
    2 Ireland 4 3 0 1 6- points difference =33
    3 Wales 4 3 0 1 6- points difference = 12
    4 France 4 2 0 2 4
    5 Italy 4 1 0 3 2
    6 Scotland 4 0 0 4 0

    saturday's matches

    12:30
    Italy (11) Draw (51) Wales (1.07)

    14:30
    Scotland (4.5) Draw (26) Ireland (1.3)

    17:00
    England (1.25) Draw (26) France (4.5)

    Winner
    England 1.8
    Ireland 2.8
    Wales 8
    France 501

I cannot see Wales winning by a very big margin on Saturday but we could do with two small miracles , Scotland home win and a rare France win at twickers.
