You've been listening to that little ponce Prince for too long. All that squawking has obviously damaged your eardrums.

Yes RC that was originally a tear-jerker as well. It was origianally about a young women who ended up being horribly disfigured after an altercation at a barbecue.

Who was the biggest group from 1970 - 1980 then ?

Led Zeppelin had eight number no1 albums - who can beat that ?

I actually went back and listened to the guy and he's talking about them coming onto the scene and being the biggest band for the best part of a decade. Were they bigger than The Beatles? No. Were they bigger than the Rolling Stones? No.

    Sorted

Radio X have been playing this most of the week, thought it was by Mcartney when I first heard it and I'm quite surprised to hear it's sung by my old mates Elbow who live just two doors down, lovely song nevertheless....

No lol, but I feel like do because I have been singing their praises for so long with them coming from this neck of the woods, I thought 'Cherry Ghost' another band of similar ilk from round here would have been the one to take the limelight but the BBC London Olympic theme tune put paid to that......

    Cherryghost, spot the similarity...

I was so confident they'd make it I even started buying up their demo cd's.
