Joe Walsh, love his stuff, he's got one of those faces where you think you know him from somewhere but can't remember where and a voice from a body a fraction of his side lol...
We can only pick up the local radio station at work, and they've only got 12 records. You hear them enough times and they tend to stick with you..
I used to work in a place like that, did my fucking head in Would hear the same sodding songs 4 or 5 times per shift. Featuring such delights as Robbie Williams with Millennium and Life by Des'ree
Annoying isn't it. I'd rather have it turned off. Wish they'd let us wear headphones and play our downloaded music but Health and Safety rules wont allow us.
Just watching TOTP's 78 and I'm beginning to think it's the best year ever for music, it's when pop met rock, and punk met anything that stood in it's way. It's one supergroup and artist after the other and I know the words to every song lol, ELO, 10cc, Kate Bush, Bobby Marley, Costello, Elleman, Blondie, Sham 69, Boney M, Dan Hill, Manfred Man, Boomtown Rats, Rose royce, Ian Dury........etc etc.. My favourite of the night was this because I loved it before it became mainstream due to listening to it on the John Peel show, I remember it's first ever radio airing and know it word for word...
I remember being sat in the back of the car with my three brothers, coming home from a weeks holiday in Tenby. It was pissing down and the old mans windscreen wipers had packed in. We were all getting pissed off with having to pull over every 5 minutes. The chart countdown was on the radio and i was just waiting for Jilted John to come on, it's all i wanted to hear. It was getting close to number one when the radio packed in too. I swore that i'd never ever buy a Citroen when i grew up. I'm getting into a bit of Gospel, lately.
Hi and welcome to Betnod slink. Can't say I've ever heard of Dave Suzuki but when I get a minute I'll give it a listen.
