Birmingham v Blackpool

First of all, Blackpool deserve it. They ended the English Championship with seven games without a loss. Birmingham wasted many opportunities to win games, for example, when they were winning against West Ham 3-1 and then drawn the game 3-3, also they scored first goals of the matches against Brighton and Ipswich and still ended the matches with results 1-1.

Also consider one interesting fact: only in three times out of twenty three the team which ended the competition in the fourth, not fifth place, won the playoffs. This isn't something you should rely on, I'm confident about this one because I trust Blackpool a lot more than Birmingham and I believe they will manage to go through.

Not sure I quite agree with the logic that Blackpool deserve it as they finished stronger, after all the league is played over 46 games for a reason. You could argue the Blues deserve it as they had to compete at the same time as being in Europe and the travelling that required.

Obviously fairly even game so wouldn't be surprised either way, but personally I think Blues have a decent home record, crowd support and will win this evening (as they did in their league home game against Blackpool (3-0)). 1.91 at B365.

Confident Blackpool will continue to attack so may also look at both teams to score. 1.75 at BetVictor

Utter rubbish. Birmingham have lost only once at home this season & as mentioned above won 3-0 in this fixture. Fridays result for Blackpool was perfect in not conceding even though there are no away goals, meaning its less important for Blues to stop Blackpool scoring. I can see Birmingham winning this but as SF says I can see Blackpool scoring so can you see Blues scoring 3? Got my doubts in normal time tbh. If Blackpool get through then they'll deserve it on the night & over the tie, not for the rubbish above

Not doing to bad here Blackpool after half hr or so, definately the better side so far, they have come to terms with the conditions a lot faster than Brum and seem to have carried on from where they left off at Bloomfield road, when they finished much the stronger side.

Yup, 1 nil blackpool, cant moan the way the games gone. shite goal though but good for me being on +2.5 & 2-1 brum

Birmingham need to keep hold of the ball a lot more instead of trying to score with every run of play, I don't think they have strung together more than 4 passes on the bounce before they have lost the ball.
With Zidic playing they are also a bit one dimensional with balls just being pumped into the box looking for him, in these sort of conditions they should be testing the Blackpool keeper a lot more if only they would be a bit patient in the build up just like Blackpool are doing.

Not as late as that run though :lol

Well that should open it up, be surprised if Blues dont score tbh

Brums passing is very poor you're right, i'm flicking back & forth to Madrid v bilbao

Bit of a late one this but its just occurred to me Brum were unbeaten in 10 @ the death, so how Blackpools unbeaten in 7 put them better off I'm not sure

Redmonds reminding me a bit of Oxlade-Chamberlain, changing the game a bit
