it's not often this season I've had the confidence to back Aldershot with sizeable stakes, Ibut 've had six units on us at the general but rapidly shortening evens. I missed out on the earlier 11/10 :cry.

Accrington, briefly: bottom of the last 8 form table with six defeats and four points.

I've been impressed with the Shots recently when I've seen us beat Rotherham and Rochdale, :dance although in fairness I seem to have missed some pretty 'average' performances too. Our recent form is the sort of mid-table I think our squad should be capable of.

If we can play at the level we've occasionally reached recently I think we'll have too much for Accy. Even if we don't, Accy aren't world beaters and we'd still be in with a shout. I'd rate our chances at around 5/6, not evens.

Good luck TC, good to see some improved form of late. Is Hylton still your player or has he been sold yet? I did laugh him getting that hat trick and then getting sent off.

There's not much on the coupon i have a huge amount of confidence in this week so i'm going to spread my bets about abit.

First up it's the game dread most, the trip to OT.
Nemanja Vidic has been the villain in this fixture in the past, is it three times he's been sent off against us now? I've a horrible feeling he could be the hero Sunday.
I'm guessing Utd will put us under alot of pressure, forcing a fair few corners. He'll be up for these.
He's been making his comeback in recent weeks, playing one, missing one, playing one, missing one, i think he should be back close to full fitness now. He should be up for giving himself a good game after his past history in the fixtures.

Anyway, 9/1 (Corals) anytime scorer is my shout for the game. I've also placed some small scorecasts etc, taking up Paddy Power's Money Back Specials offer, should the game end in a draw.

I think Liverpool will also have their work cut out on Sunday Punt, I just can't see how Liverpool will get anything from this match although I know it won't be from the want of trying. United just seem to have plenty more options than Liverpool at the moment all over the park.

Same too with City, we just don't do well at Arsenal and that job won't be made any easier with the absense of Yaya and Aguero, I also have a strong feeling Balotelli is going to get a start, which in such a vital game could prove a huge gamble, it's not so much his antics that concern me like what got him sent of in this fixture last year but the complete lack of effort he has shown this season, something City can not afford when two work horses like Yaya and Aguero are missing.
I hope we do it but something tells me a point a piece is on the cards here.

It's another tough week in the Prem once more betting wise, Spurs look a half decent price against QPR but I think we all know Harry is more than likely to get something from this match, The draw keeps springing to mind but I don't have the confidence to put money on it.

I'm going to take Norwich though for the win, they are becoming a tough nut to crack at home and Newcastle at the moment seem to have lost the heart they played with last season, losing Ba also limits their options up front which should make the job easier for Norwich.

I'm going to take the proverbial draw on Stoke v Chelsea too, no other reason that Stoke usually end up 1-1 when they play a team of note at the Brittania, well that was my thinking until they kicked Liverpool's arse the other week, but because that was Liverpool and they often fail to impress I'll take a chance on the draw.

reckon todays game is about the most important weve had in years :unsure

Good luck all. Yes Punter, we've still got Hylton.

Gillingham are beginning to come back to form after a little blip but have a tough game against Port Vale. Vale have an excellent away record, with only two defeats, and I think Gillingham should be a little longer than the best available 11/10; I think this could be a tough game. I've gone 3 units at 365's 3/4 Port Vale/draw double chance.

The QPR/Spurs game has talked me out of betting on it...might wash me hair instead :unsure

I fear that it might get bad at Villa before it starts to improve, & I've had doubles & a treble on S'oton, Albion & Sunderland. Had a few correct scores as well. 3-1 Soton, 2-1 Everton, 1-1 stoke, 2-1 norwich, 2-1 Albion & 2-1 Sunderland

1.5 speculative units on Barnet/Draw at 365/s 8/5. Barnet have performed stoicly recently. Rotherham have been hit and miss all season; they've been both the best and one of the worst sides I've seen at Aldershot this season. The Millers are rightly favourites, but I don't think there's the difference between them that the 8/15 on Rotherham suggests.

...and finally BTTS at Dagenham/Rochdale, at the slightly stingy general 8/15 (3 units). Both teams like to go forward but can be 'generous' at the back. This would have come in in EVERY Rochdale away game this season.

Dunno why its occurred to me to do this, or indeed post it here, but i've just been looking at the respective Liverpool records of Brendan Rogers & Roy Hodgson

Hodgson p31, w13, d9, l9
Rodgers p34, w16, d9, l9

....so are they going forward?

I've already laid Villa to go down and I'm laying some more just now with the view that they will beat Southampton and the price will lengthen. They could get beat next week by West Brom so the price will shorten again before they beat Newcastle and see the price drift again.

That's the plan anyway:lol

I'd be all over Swansea DNB if they hadn't had their recent exertions. Instead, my DNB for this week will be Sunderland at home to West Ham

Welcome aboard Swoops. You might want to move to the back of the bandwaggon because there's going to be plenty more joining us by this time next year.

The bloke's a walking Wizard of Oz. All smoke and mirrors. Have to say that Sturridge is a cracking acquisition though.

From everything I've read, it seems it's only really our away form which has been good, apparently at home we've been relatively poor for a couple of months or so now, even when we have managed to grind out results.

Pretty strange league really this season, 8 teams have got a better away record than home (and three more have the same number of points at home as away) :unsure

Aldershot :)
Draw/Vale :)
Draw/Barnet :)
Dagenham BTTS :)

4/4 for me, hedged a bit toward the end but still a nice profit. After my season so far, any profit is welcome even if it didn't help my anteposts :frown .

Anyone else thinking the hull keeper was putting that on to cover his clanger :unsure

Nah, I knew straight away he'd taken a nasty knock. I had a nice win on the correct score market but the last-minute penalty miss meant I missed out on a further £400

Haven't seen MOTD yet. How bad were Villa? Can I kiss goodbye to my money?
