14:00 Manchester City v Sunderland 2/7 4/1 8/1

Odds Betfred

Taken from GC...

Odds are ridiculous on this game Seen, more so considering you are one of our Bogey sides, how the fcuk do they get odds of 10/1 for Sunderland, In my head that gives me a 3 or 4 nil scoreline which isn't going to happen.
I don't see more than the odd goal in this match and I wouldn't be surprised to see extra time tell the truth. could be one for the AH.

10/1 may have gone now but could be found in places, still the odds are a joke and this match will be a lot closer than those odds suggest unless Aguero comes straight back from injury and plays a blinder which is highly unlikely; not for more than 30 mins or so anyhow.

Gone for Sunderland to win 1-0 @ 33/1 (Coral), 2-0 @ 80/1 (Coral) and 1-1 @ 14.0 (Betfair). Like I said on the GC thread, I fancy either an easy Man City win or a set-piece goal to win it for Sunderland. Does 33/1 seem absolutely massive to anyone else for 1-0?

Also have done City to win on penalties @ 22/1 (Coral), 'cos if it goes to pennas there's no way Sunderland are winning the shootout.

Borini 1st goal 18/1. Will back Ya Ya's player goal minutes after about half an hour. Have also backed HT X FT MC. The price is well odds on for over 2 goals and there may well be but I see the first half being close. I might get on over 2 goals if the price reaches evens though as late goals on a big pitch against a side who may be a goal or two down and tiring from chasing down the ball is a distinct possibility.

Nice one, ODM. As I wrote earlier I'm on 0-1, 1-1 and 0-2, so if it stays like this or there's just 1 more goal I win. Bit annoyed as I was also going to do City to win from behind @ 15/2 which would have left me an almost certain win/win situation, but didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket in relying on Sland scoring first. Now if (when) City go on the win the game I'm gonna be doubly pissed off :ohwell

Great performance from Sland the first half mind, Poyet got his tactics spot on. Big ask to expect them to do it for another 45 mins but stranger things have happened :crossfingers:crossfingers:crossfingers:crossfingers:crossfingers

Nice One ODM.
Sunderland are playing well and have a deserved lead imo, City look dodgey on every Sunderland corner and every time they get one I'm bottling it thinking they'll score lol.

Big question is can Sunderland keep up their workrate for another 45mins because everyone of them is putting in a hard shift.
It's one of those games where the next team to score will probably win the match so the next goal for either side is vital, unless Sunderland manage to hold out for the 1-0 obviously in which case seen will be a happy man and quids in to boot.

I've just backed City to lift the trophy at 13/20. A price I wouldn't normally take and, daft as it sounds, I think Sunderland may well keep it tight in the second half as City aren't looking like world beaters (even accounting for the level of performance that Sunderland are putting in). I can well see them preventing City from winning in 90 minutes but can they stop them from scoring the one needed to level the game? I don't think so.

Anybody know if you can back a penalty in the game anywhere in running? Can't find it on betfair.

I've backed City @ 2.74 and will back them again if they get to 4/1

Two bets up and on >2goals at just under evens. Just need city to go on to win now

I'm glad someone is :hissyfit

Two absolute stunning goals, you can do nothing against a team who do that.

That's what money can buy I suppose Seen, twas a cracking game nevertheless and never as one sided as the scoreline suggests, had Fletcher been match fit who know's what could have happened.

Good to see Hendo there, in with the fans Seen?

Slick - aye, a cracking game....one journalist said that he'd been to over 50 finals at Wembley and this was in his top 10. Thought Poyet got his tactics spot on, a near-perfect first half (perfect would have been getting that important 2nd goal) but in the end beaten by two unbelievable finishes. Had a couple of half chances but it wasn't to be. If we continue to play like that then no way should we go down. Seems like the 30,000 who went down had the time of their lives (apart from the coaches taking 2 hours just to get out of the Wembley car park :eek).

Punter - yeah, seen that yesterday, great to see him doing well for your lot, he was always the type to improve when playing with better players.
