First thoughts are that Palace are worth a bet at that price. Manure are struggling more than normal in the Champs League & are off the top of the league, & whilst theres no panic buttons being pushed (quite rightly) he'll be tempted to rest even more of his stars than he normally does. Palace having a decentish season. Fancy them with Cardiff

Arsenal are a good price too, you can pretty much guarantee not one City player who played today will be playing on Tuesday night, barring Kolo Toure that is who came on with about 5 mins to go, even Abdul Razak as been called back from Pompey for this one.
Saying that City will probably still field around 5 or 6 decent players with plenty of experience , noticably Zableta, Kolorov, Johnson, De Jong and Dzeko probably unless Balotelli serves more than a one match ban for todays sending off, I suppose Nasri may also play a part as he's yet to play a full 90 mins, add a couple of regulars to the bench and i suppose City don't look to bad after all.
Suppose it all depends now on what side Arsenal will field.

Also fancy Cardiff Swoops, any half decent side in the Championship would give a full strength Blackburn side a run for their money never mind a depleted one.

I'm a bit surprised at Liverpools price, 4/1 @ S.James. We will be going there trying to win the game with a decent team out and not being in Europe i know that we are taking both cups seriously. I know we have only had 48 hours since the City game too and most will be rested but we still have good players to call upon. We've sold our allocation of tickets too so we'll be well supported and loud down there. At Chelsea prices i can see there being some empty seats in their end. I wonder what team they will be putting out?

I've had a look at the anytime scorers market and for them Torres is 17/10 with Paddy P's, i know he's not in form but i thought that looks a tad big, he's sure to get one/some against us at some point and another player who might feature for them is Oriol Romou who they signed from Barca. He played the whole 90 minutes in the 3-0 win against Wolves at the weekend, he's a defensive midfielder but bet365 are going as big as 16/1 for him to score anytime, Ladbrokes are only going 7/1.

For us i wonder if Kenny will play Andy Carroll up front on his own for 80 minutes and pack the midfield again or maybe play with one just behind the big man. Maxi Rodriguez is 7/1 anytime scorer but i see Raheem Sterling is being quoted by a few bookies and if we do take him he may come off the bench for the last 25 minutes or so. 10/1 about him being last scorer looks generous.

Of the other ties i think the games at Cardiff and Arsenal will go to extra time and Utd will have things wrapped up in the first half.

Didn't Kenny warn fans not to go down and waste their money a few weeks back though Punt?

Quote from the MEN

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is planning wholesale changes for Tuesday's Carling Cup quarter-final at Arsenal.

Striker Mario Balotelli and midfielder Gareth Barry are suspended, but may have been left out anyway after featuring in Sunday's Barclays Premier League draw at Liverpool.

Former England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, fit after a recent calf injury, and defenders Kolo Toure and Stefan Savic are among the more high-profile players who could be involved.

Manchester City (from): Hart, Pantilimon, Taylor, Richards, Zabaleta, Savic, Kompany, K Toure, Lescott, Onuoha, Kolarov, Clichy, Bridge, Milner, Johnson, Y Toure, De Jong, Hargreaves, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, Razak, Suarez, Rekik.

reading that I'd say the City team would be..

Pantilimon
Zabaleta K Toure Savic Bridge/Rekik?
De Jong
Johnson Hargreaves/Suarez? Razak, Kolarov
Dzeko

I'll be suprised if Mancini goes with 442 or 4411 at the emirates so i've shoved Hargreaves in midfield as he'll probably get at least 45 mins, were also a bit lacking on the left but Kolarov has played left midfield a few times this season when needed.

He says some daft things at times, probably tongue in cheek that, did he really say that?
I can assure you that the fans have ignored his comment if he did, sold out according to the website.

I wasn't a million miles away with the City line up, in fact City look a lot stronger than i thought they would with no kids in the starting line up and Nasri also in midfield.
Arsenal seem to be playing thier usual Carling cup team.
City for me but i bet those odds have dropped now,

Mnaged to get 2.37's which was a bit of a suprise, expected less than the earlier odds posted.

The City lineup looks a lot stronger than Arsenal's. I'm on them at draw no bet and I'm happy with that bet as long as Zabaleta doesn't get himself sent off. That's not criticism, I like the way the bloke tackles, it's just that this game is made for a couple of mistimed challenges for him coming only two days after a hard fought game and against a nippy, mobile and fast moving attack.

He's got to be nailed on for a card first half.

Bit of a shitty game but i supose a wins a win, well done too Punt, If United go through it makes the semi's very interesting.

You can bet we'll be paired against each other in the semi Slick. Odds on.

Johnny Evans captain? :thinking He has one pass in his game, and that's back to the goal keeper.

I feel sorry for Crystal Palace that they haven't got anything out of this game. United are playing their usual lazy can't be arsed football with their non-existent midfield. Gibson just stands around waiting for the ball to find him. Both Macheda and Diouf were playing on the last man after 30mins, so there's no links through the play. And they're all fucking standing there watching the ball instead of running into space and creating opportunities.

Gibson and Evans should be playing for a team like Palace, not against them. Surely two of the worst players ever to pull on a red shirt at Old Trafford.

Well done to crystal palace. It was quite clear they wanted that win far more than united's second string of expensive flops.

I have to question why Berbatov was sacrificed at half time, as he's the player with the quality to fashion a scoring chance in a crowded box; not some part time Italian or piss poor african.

Gary "to be honest with you" Neville - He used that phrase at least five times in his after the match analysis. How can he get a job such as his with such a limited choice of vocabulary.
