England's worst player

Nope, I mean over the tournament. Both a complete bag of useless wank. Rooney looked like he just couldn't be fucking bothered tonight. Contrast that with Ronaldo (who was by far a better player than him at United) and it really makes you wonder why the fuck he is held up as our best player. 2004 was the last time he had a decent tournament for England FFS.


If the likes of Rooney, Young and Jones are held up as United's hopes for the future, I'd be pretty confident in saying that Sir AF will never win the title again.
 
Young by a country mile. I like Hodgson, but its a shame that having started promisingly with Oxlade-Chamberlain he stuck with the tried & trusted when it came to the crunch. Young was poor & should never have lasted, why when the legs were going was Milner taken off? Young is hiding when he cuts inside, if he attacks the flank hes a much better player. He hid like that at Villa & he still does it now.
I thought Rooney didnt look match fit & lacked ghames. The only thing I blame Roy for is Young & not man-marking Pirlo
 
Rooney looked fucked from the off, but agree with Young, he had a very poor tournament.

I thought we did ok to top the group, we just didnt turn up against Italy though, it's like we only had Gerrard and Parker in the middle, the wide boys didn't tuck inside to help.
 
Thought Parker was okay, but hes honest, hard working & little else I think. not saying thats not important but we didnt have enough guile in there. Gerrard was decent but too marginalised in the Italy game, surely by giving Pirlo all that time Parker & Gerrard were always chasing & going to run out of steam.
Personally I reckon a continental coach would have man marked him out of the game

I did think Hodgson should have done that, but otherwise I thought he was okay. Theres only so much you can do without the players to an extent, although I'll never understand taking Milner off
Thought the back 4 were okay, Johnson & Terry in particular
My problem with Young is hes too inconsistent & hides. I liked him at Villa & I like him at United but hes too weak in the head & gets affected by anything. I dont knock him for the pen but you could see him missing it
 
I was Baffled too when Milner came off and Welbeck too as he was having a good game and the only player we had upfront putting a shift in, when I saw Carroll and Walcott waiting to come on i thought It's a brave move bringing off Rooney but then again he doesn't look fit and about a stone over weight and Young should have been dragged off at half time, but then when I saw it was Milner and Welbeck coming off I thought:thinking

Ditto what Swoops says about the back 4 as they all had a good game and Parker ran his legs off, what we lack is any sort of creativity, we don't even have a player than can hold onto the ball for more than 3 or 4 seconds and pick out a pass, in the end we were to one dimensional and it became all to easy for Italy to get the ball back.
