I take it this is the old League/Carling cup?

I'll be at Wolves' glamour tie on Saturday, but probably keeping my powder dry this weekend. With these games being a week away from another competative matches instead of squeezed into midweek I assume the big clubs will be more likely to put out strong sides. Maybe I'll have a punt on the midweek matches.

Antepost I'm on Man Utd (9/1) and Cardiff (150/1) on the grounds that they both look too long to me, so I'll be opposing Cardiff midweek.

I'm backing Hull, Sheff Utd and Wolves. I fancy them to do well this season and with this being their first 'competitive' games at home the fans should turn up looking for a win.

Home Win Treble

Early days , but gone for Leeds , Carlisle and Shef Utd..

ive gone sheff utd, leeds, hull, york, crewe and wolves £20 singles and a treble of wolves, leeds and sheff utd

Managed a small (half unit) profit thanks to backing and laying Cardiff, but otherwise my money was kept firmly in my pocket - which was just as well as most of the teams I was looking at failed.
