Odds William Hill

Will the likes of Reading, Swansea and Norwich play weekened teams knowing that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham most likely will ?

Team news is a must.

How will Chelsea and Man U line up ???

Should be renamed as the Capital One Mug. The one nobody wants to win.....well almost nobody. As a betting proposition it should be avoided at all costs. Still gives a chance for the bigger clubs to test out some new blood.
If i were to have a flutter, which i most certainly wouldn't, I'd look for teams that actually do want to win it. That narrows the field down a bit. Next i'd be looking for odds. That leaves one game.
Leeds v Southampton
Southampton have a pretty decent record against Leeds and lets face it, they ain't got much to go for this season. They are my personal favorites for the Up and Down Cup, could even grab the coveted Wooden Spoon Trophy. if their luck holds they may even get a dream 3 game run in the FA cup. Joking aside though, they did put some decent performances against the two Manchester clubs...Only to get hammered by Arsenal and..well the hammers.
Leeds on the other hand have got to be thinking whats their priority, getting back into the Premiership ? Or grabbing the mug ? Leeds also have a huge negative against them, any team that gets beat by Birmingham City, at home, should be instantly relegated to the Conference.
Just for Fun, i'd go the Draw/Southampton.

I'm not keen on cup games either Rushy, more so league cup matches where half the bleedin teams couldn't care less about it and use it to try and bring through the kids.
Like Keggers mentions team news is vital on all of these fixtures.

There also seems a larger quota of Prem sides left in the comp than usual, maybe this year a few of them fancy it.

One thing for sure !

Arshavin is dug meat. He's rank rotten. How much will he be on a week? because it's 100% too much.

I don't necessarily agree with this - I'd turn it the other way and say the unpredictability in team selection gives some great opportunities for value where team selections are surprising, if you can get in as soon as the teams are announced and before the prices change.

That's a fair point and one i can't argue against. Most successful punters i know have an area of specialty and this could be said to be one of them. The point i was making, and it was a personal one, is the unpredictability of this particular cup. Take the Arsenal game. I only caught the last few minutes of the game and still managed to see two goals.
