Odds from William Hill

Taken Gillingham DNB at Sky's 5/6 (as low as 4/6 elsewhere). Gillingham apparently looking good with two wins against Dagenham who have yet to score. 5 units.

Bradford City for starters for me, i know i seem to be following the same teams a bit but there's some 10/11 for them for a home win here. Wimbledon got spanked midweek by Burton, who are not one of the stronger teams in this league. I've not forgotten Wimbledons good 1-0 home win over Chesterfield but it was at home. Their weakness could well be away from home this season though and that looks like a decent enough price on Bradford.

Northampton Town have started their season really well. A respectable 0-0 draw away at Rochdale on the opening day followed up by a 2-1 home win against league favourites Rotherham midweek. They also dumped Cardiff City out of the Capital 1 cup. They face a Southend team who are struggling to get going, The Shrimpers were one of the leagues better teams last season but i really dont fancy them this season, they've lost a few decent players and for as much as i'd love to see Paul Sturrock do well, his last interviews i've really struggled to understand and thinks it's only a matter of time before his illness see's him retire from the game.

I've underestimated Gillingham a bit, i see a few negatives about them pre season but they've started really well and the new manager deserves alot of credit for that. Two wins out of two in the league, they also knocked Bristol City out of the capital 1 cup. I do have a slight concern that they will be my bogey team in this league, having not fancied them from the start then changing my mind on them. I'll expect a couple of uppercuts from RC if they lose this one but 7/5 against a Dagenham team that have started poorly i'll take my chance.

Nice one TC, i didn't see this before i started my post, good to see we both fancy the Gills a bit.

Good luck Punter. :crossfingers

My second bet is under 2.5 at Oxford. All four matches both sides have played have been under, and both were unders sides last year. Admittedly there is some change of personnel, but the managers and so I assume the outlooks are the same. 3 units at Sky's 4/5.

I'll be at the day's big match. Aldershot have started playing a slightly more attacking 4-4-2 thsi season and Cheltenham became more adventurous late last season, and I reckon we could see goals and I'm surprised to see overs at longer than evens. But it's not for me - I just want to enjoy the game.

One unit profit in L2 for me, but elsewhere Wrexham managed to turn that into a loss:angry

A Southend equaliser 5 minutes in to injury time cost me two full trixies up today :angry
