6 units on Dagenham, +0.5 AH at Bet365's 3/4. I'd prefer to wait for team news, but the price is comin' in. York started the season brightly but have taield off with only one win in eight (I'll bet no-one can guess who that was against :banghead ) and looked nothing special while getting it.

Dagenham are exceeding (my) expectaions and going the other way in terms of form with no defeat in five.

I'd have this at about the 8/13 available elsewhere on the double chance market.

Tom Pope first scorer for Port Vale, 1.5 units at the general 15/4. This came in on Monday, so I'm going for it again. Pope has scored over 40% of Vale's league goals, and against a struggling Wycombe side there has to be more change of Vale scoring before the visitors. The stats suggest around 3/1, not 15/4.

And six units on Cheltenham/Draw at the general 4/6. Cheltenham have quietly slipped into the top three, and looked generally solid if not particularly spectacular when the won at Aldershot a few weeks ago. Bradford have stuttered a bit of late with no win in four, and only one of those against particularly difficult opposition. I'd have this at slightly shorter.

And yet another 6 points on draw/Accrington at the general 8/11. Slightly risky with Accy having lost their last two games, but this is mainly a bet against Oxford who have lost seven out of nine, were apparently awful on Monday, have injury problems, and whose manager is threatenign changes. Their only recent win was against a poor Wimbkedon side, and the draw against Gillingham down to inspired goalkeeping. I've seen for myself how Oxford's crowd can turn when things aren';t going well, and with the manager already under pressure I think Accy are a few percent too long to take advantage.

Good luck TC, i'm not on anything in here this week.
I was tempted with Wycombe last week but didn't back them and i see they are the same price this week, they've picked up since Ainswoth has been placed in charge. Port Vale should win with Pope the likely scorer but i dont think i'll be going against Wycombe for a while.

No fixtures in the BSP this week, Hereford are in the shit, administration looms

Thanks Punter. I didn't realise things were that bad for the Bulls - I'd heard rumours of going part time but thought that was sense rather than a necessity. I've got a soft spot for Hereford and hope you come through it.

My final bet is seven units on Rochdale DNB. I'm hoping their loss against Morecambe last week was a blip as they were previously undefeated in six, and have four away wins on the bounce. Plymouth struggle in front of their own fans - even we won there. Both sides are better on their travels.

Gawdawful day for me with 0/5 which puts me into debit for the season (excluding free bets), and I got to see Aldershot capitulate without any fight to an admittedly good Rotherham side :cry

Hi,TC.

Ive been studying the ante post odds and the upcoming fixtures and, although,as Ive said before,I don't like betting on relegation,Im finding it increasingly hard to stop myself lumping on the Shots:eek!

Specially as the Bees could be resurgent and Wimbledon, after a terrible start defensively, are improving.

Do you know why the shots are doing so badly-is it injuries and do they have the money to sign decent loanees etc?

Thanks

Hello hotspur

I lumped on us when we were 8/1  , but that was because I though it was value at the time, not because I seriousy thought we would go down  . But a couple of defeats later...

However, we looked a side in trouble yesterday; too many players looked scared and heads visibly dropped once we went behind. That, I suppose, is the flip side to having a young, hungry squad - they lack the experience when things are going wrong and the crowd gets restless. However, Rotherham looked a good side yesterday and would have given better sides than us a run for their money.

As you've probably seen from the stats, our main problem is scoring goals.

On paper I am convinced we have a top half side, if not play-off quality. The general concensus of the support before the season was that we would have a good if not ultimately sucsssful season. I still maintain that the class is there and we can get out of the slump. However, something needs to change soon as there is something seriously wrong at the moment. I'm reminded of Spurs a few seasons ago, when Harry took over when they were in the relegation zone and he led a decent enough side out of trouble easily.

The management have said (I paraphrase) the manager is with us until Christmas as we can't afford to sack him - hardly a ringing endorsement.

Rant over - I think 7/2 is about right, but I think it'll get worse before it gets better so we could be shorter/hedgeable in a couple of weeks.

OK,thanks.

Ill have a dabble but I have to tell you that whenever I bet on a team to be relegated during the season they almost invariably start winning with immediate effect!!

Its almost uncanny:eek

I've taken Bradford @ 6/4, as most of you know i fancy their chances this season. Opponents Northampton were beaten 4-0 by bottom club Barnet at the weekend.

Good luck Punter.

I've taken Southend -0.75, just under evens a day or so ago at Bet365. Southend aren't particularly setting the world alight, but sadly this is a bet against Aldershot :cry . Assuming Assobalanga starts I'll have a small nibble on him to net against us at just over evens.

And Byron Harrioson to score for Wimbledon, against a generally generous Bristol Rovers side. Bet365 went at 21/10 which is the only price I could find longer than the next best 7/4. Scored in each of his last four games, and one every other match for the season.

And let's hope hotspur's jinx spurs Aldershot on to greater things - but maybe we could go on a promotion run after I've had some winnings tonight please? :crossfingers

Well done Punter clap.

My losing streak extends to nine bets :cry , although the anteposts did okay. And Aldershot got three points :)

Great result for your Aldershot tonight TC, big sigh of relief eh :)

Yeah, could be the start of a recovery. Whether we were magnificent or Southend awful depends which message board you read, though.
