Odds William Hill

Games are starting to come thick and fast now on the lead up to Christmas.

Quick thoughts...
West Ham v Chelsea
Again it would be a mug punter to back Chelsea on their current run of average form, especially at odds on away from home.
West Ham though are doing a lot better than I thought they would in their first season back in the Prem and proving a tough nut to crack, if they had a decent striker and stopped relying on Nolan they would be up with the likes of the Baggies I reckon.
It's another game for Chelsea that could well end 0-0 or at least a score draw hence at those odds for West Ham I'd say West Ham on the + AH is a decent bet.

Arsenal v Swansea
I'd probably rather give this a miss tell the truth because Swansea have enough about them to maybe get a point although I would expect Arsenal to win. the sort of game where Arsenal have come unstuck on numerous occasions.

Fulham v Tottenham
Odds look about right for this match, home advantage for Fulham makes this a pretty even fixture.
Going off current form I'd give Spurs the slight advantage since they now look to be gathering a head of steam after a shakey start to the season but Fulham at home are always more than a handful.
Fulham seemed to have dipped since Hangeland was dismissed against Sunderland, with him serving the last of his three match ban in this game It could give Spurs the edge they need to get all three points.

Liverpool v Southampton
Southampton seemed to have gained an abundance of confidence since their first win of the season against QPR the other week but trying to get anything out of Liverpool at Anfield is beyond them surely?
Aye, that's just what I was thinking hence I wouldn't touch this match with a bargepole but would expect Liverpool to piss it.

Man City v Everton
Everton have been City's bogey team for a good few yrs but I have to admit since Mancicni took over we have been narrowing the gap ending with us beating them at our place last season.
I expect this weekends fixture to be a lot harder though with Everton giving City a real tough test, a lot tougher than those odds suggest anyhow.
City at the moment look a bit confused up front with Mancini not knowing what his best attacking options are, If City do win then I don't expect it to be by more than a goal and I wouldn't at all be suprised to see Everton nab a point.

QPR v Aston Villa
I wouldn't like to be a Villa fan watching this one as a defeat could send them into the relegation zone, this will be the game where Harry will be looking to get QPR's first win of the season and this game will be the benchmark to see just where QPR are at with a new manager at the helm.
It would take a nutcase to back them at evens though considering they haven't won a game all season, value here has to lie with Villa who are playing well at the moment and are well worth a small Punt at those odds.

West Brom v Stoke
At last a bet that stands out for me, West Brom have been the suprise package of the season under Clarke and the defeat midweek by Swansea could be the kick up the arse they need to stop complacency setting in, as has what's happened to Stoke this season come to think about it.
stoke are quite happy riding in the safety zone of mid table mediocracy and play their game to suit, but I have a feeling Clark has a lot more about him and will be looking to bounce straight back in this game, If they play like they have done for 90% of their games this season then they won't have a problem here.
West Brom Win.

Reading v Man Utd
If this game goes to form then Man U will win but only after making a hash of things for themselves and grinding out a result that a few years ago would have been a formality.

Norwich v Sunderland
I was expecting Norwich to be a tad more than that tell the truth but after watching Sunderland the other night against QPR I can see where the bookies are coming from.
On current form I have no qualms about backing Norwich against a Sunderland side that at the moment don't seem to know their arse from their elbow.
Norwich win.

Newcastle v Wigan
Newcastle look way to short because at the moment they are struggling and Wigan will give them a game.
Newcastle at the moment are very similar to Villa in that they have underperformed all season but where I can see some improvement in Villa, I can only see Newcastle going backwards and if not careful could quite easily end up,in the relegation zone.
It would be a fool to take Newcastle @ odds on considering their current form and if It wasn't for Wigan's current Injury problems then I'd definitely take them +1 on the AH.
Another to leave alone imo

my computers fcuked by the way, took me ages to write than cause things kept changing and delling themselves every time I moved my mouse, it was a microsecond from going through the window.

I was hoping it was chrome as I've been usiing that these last few weeks but it's also happening on my desktop, time for a virus check me thinks

Firstly , I need to hold my hands up and say that u were spot onabout QPR last week Slick. I was the mug punter that backed them then and having seen how totally dire Villa are in midweek ill be on them again this weekend in some kind of crazy martingale system by doubling my stake and then - if the lose, increasing the stakes over the next two weeks when I'll probably get evens draw no bet against Wigan and Fulham. If they win, I'll be backing the DNB anyway. not much logic other than blind faith in Harry.

many people will be looking at tommorow's as Harrys chance to get his first win so I know the price is not therefore value (tut tut) but I'm on anyway at 21/20

just noticed it wasn't last week but the week before when u warned about not backing QPR and although I did suggest West Brom could beat Chelsea (as did you) so it wasn't a complete disaster.

It seems tome that every time you write he words Mug Punter Im drawn to backing that team :) This week it's Chelsea although I won't be taking the odds on hats currently on offer, I'll be waiting until ten -15 mins in to give the price time to expand and check for no early red cards etc. Im expecting The Hammers to come out at full speed so that won't put me off if they have most of the chances early doors. Chelsea have the quality to hurt them and I would expect HT draw FT Chelsea to be the most likely result.

Arsenal Swansea is one of those games that promises a feast of football - so you can bet it's going to be spoilt by a red card. :) for all his skill Wilshere has the potential to be the one who gets it? It might surprise Some to know that, since their battle with United they've only picked up 3 bookings in 4 games. With two footballing teams on show the prices for the bookings may be worth looking at as the bookies will probably be expecting no more than 3 yellows.

As for a winner, Arsenal for me but not at those prices

Mmmm bookings set at 38 with sporting index. Surprised at that

got to go now - will be back later but Just want to say that if you back half time draw/ full time United between now and the end of the season you WILL make a profit. 10/3 tomorrow.

As some Big Brother bint used to say " 'member I told ya"

I think....that if we were playing at QPR before the midweek win, I'd be on Villa, but I agree with ODM that we werent great against Reading. Time will tell whether that was just a nervy game & I did say beforehand it would be horrendous, but as Slick said we were playing okay going into that for the position we we're in. Dont know what Colbro thinks but my group tend to think Lambert is doing okay & the signings will do well, IF we stay up this season. They're young lads that need this season to bed in, & its looking as though it will be tight. In Lambert we trust.
I'd say Villa were a tiny, wee bit value, but not enough to back
