Martin O'Neill is thinking about resting players for tomorrow night's game v Blackburn, to keep them fresh for the Everton replay next week - just in case anyone is thinking of backing Sunderland.

I think City look a decent price too, they have won every game at the Etihad this season and a few before that too.
City need to be on the ball for this one as they can ill afford any more slip ups, I can't see them playing at a cantor here like they have been doing lately.
I expect City to get at Chelsea from the off, I just hope Kompany and Lescott are back for this game or Kompany at least otherwise it's all bets off for me.

Just my early thoughts, dunno which ones i'll back yet, if any.

Blackburn v Sunderland
I'd call the most likely score as 1-1 (6/1). James McClean as a possible anytime scorer (7/2). For an outside bet i'm tempted with Wayne Bridge to score his first for the club, i can just see him coming in at the far post and scoring one soon. 20/1 anytime scorer is tempting and might get a small stake and so might the 50/1 for 1st/last scorer.

Man City v Chelsea
I would love to see City win this, just to keep the pressure on but it would be just like that cnut Torres to go get on the score sheet again after the drought he's been in. I think the 3/1 anytime is a shade big and the 25/1 for him to score a brace again cant be ruled out either. The hattrick @ 100/1 can though, cant it?, I might take the 3/1 and 25/1 and hope city still score enough to win.

Spurs v Stoke
Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their seven Premier League meetings with Stoke, i'm considering Stoke +1 @ 9/5, i'm not sure how Spurs will perform after what happened at the weekend.

Everton v Arsenal
I'll probably leave this one alone, no odds have caught my eye in the fixture just yet anyway. Draw? Or cup replay priority for the blue shite and Arsenal the value @ 7/5? Shamus Coleman anytime scorer @ 8/1? Na, leave it. Blue shite.

QPR v Liverpool
Djib Cisse to score for Rangers @ 11/4, Liverpool to win 2-1 @ 15/2 and me to bed anyone of Kenny's 3 daughters @ 4/6. Singles and a 5 pound treble.

I'll take anything i can get right now beam

Taken Bridge with small stakes, just for a bit of interest.

Blackburn are pissing all over Sunderland. Will be surprised if they don't win this one.

Sunderland fighting back a bit now and have had their share of possession in the final third without having clear cut chances

Just been watching it for the last 10 mins and Blackburn are treading dangerously since they scored as they are trying to protect what they have, might just be a bit to early in the game for that.

Just seen the miss of the season then from Sunderlands wee chinese fella, Ji i think his name is.

2-0 Blackburn, that should be game, set and match now.

A small e.w. Lucky 15 on 1st goalscorer markets tonight

Jelavic @ 8/1
Cisse @ 15/2
Torres @ 9/1
Walters @ 11/1

At Paddy P's, 1st 5 goals, 1/3rd odds
