Not had much time to look at the fixtures this week as it's been one of those weeks where everything in the house seems to be fcuking up, they say 'it comes in three's' but this week it's been coming by the dozen so to speak ahem!.
First thoughts are Arsenal look a good shout but they do lack consistancy, Chelsea on the other hand seem to be gaining confidence week by week since AVB got the push and if they weren't playing Barcelona on Tuesday I'd give this game a wide berth.
With that in mind I'm willing to take a chance on the gunners, plus they do seem to up the tempo when they play any decent side at the Emirates.
Arsenal win
Villa @ 7/5 at home to Sunderland can't be right Surely, I know Villa this season have been pretty naff but with games runnig out and Prem survival still not secured they must be targetting these next few home games for max points and getting them sooner rather than later.
Sunderland are more than capable of getting a result but there at that stage of the season now where they will just be loking forward to their holidays I Imagine, funnily enough If Sunderland were playing a half decent side then they would probably put in a decent performance but against Villa i expect them to just go through the motions.
I might have a wee flutter on Villa with the Intention of laying them off should they take the lead and probably ending up going odds on.
Blackburn and Norwich is one to steer well clear of, Blackburn have hit a sticky patch again whilst Norwich can on their day turn it on away from home. We're at the stage of the season where any time soon Norwich will probablly lapse now Prem safety has been achieved and the finishing line is within reach but It's not worth taking that chance on a team like Blackburn especially at those odds.
Exactly the same could be said about Bolton v Swansea but with the rest Bolton have had and the time passed to shake off the sympathy they yearned over Muamba, they should now realise it's time to start focusing again as within that time Wigan have climbed to relative safety and Bolton are now in the shite.
It's still not enough to convince me mind, had they been 7/5 like Villa I would have took a punt but not at near evens.
I wasn't going to bother with Fulham v Wigan either but seeing Wigan at 3/1 has twisted my arm, I expected them to be about 2/1.
I suppose Wigan are due a fall sooner rather than later but on current form and still needing the points Wigan imo at those odds look a decent bet.
I'll take Newcastle all day long at home to Stoke, odds look spot on and the way both teams have been performing lately I'll be suprised if the Magpies slip up here.
QPR V Spurs could well be this seeks banana skin I reckon, Can't see anything other than a Spurs win but their performances for the last couple of months leaves them highly unpredictable and not worth taking a chance on imo.
Add that to the precarious position QPR are in with some tough fixtures to come then these last couple of home games for QPR are vital for points.
It's just not worth the risk is it.
Man U and Man City should win allthough the price for Everton looks huge, looking at those odds If I can get anywhere near evens for Everton +2 on the AH I'll be on.
West Brom look big too, Liverpool have been shite since the Carling cup and I can't see them going up a gear with another cup final on the horizon. I don't think anybody would be suprised to see a draw here or the Baggies nick it.
I'm going to give it a miss though as Liverpool do create chances and slowly but surely over the last couple of weeks they have been putting them away.
If anybody does fancy a bet on this game I would recommend checking team news first as KK may rest a couple of players and give a few youngsters a chance now CL football looks out of reach and the Europa cup is allready guaranteed, a few quarters have been saying the opposite saying Liverpool would like to finish above Everton but somehow i think that train of thought is off KK's radar with what he has allready achieved this season.
Team selection tomorrow will give us the answer.
