Odds William Hills

I'll run through these quickly because I have a couple of jobs to do.

Aston Villa v Norwich
Suppose you could say the odds are a tad short for Villa considering their stuttering start to the season and Norwich coming into this off the back of a great win at home to Arsenal last weekend.
It's one of those where you instinctively think Villa and I would expect them to win but at this moment in time I would leave well alone at those odds.

Arsenal v QPR
Two losses in a week for Arsenal should be the kick up the arse they need to get going again, if they don't beat QPR by at least a brace then I would be looking to give them an even harder kick up the jacksie.
Arsenal -1 on the AH

Reading v Fulham
Tough tough game to predict because Reading now look to be settling down in the Prem after a shakey start and Fulham are now an old stalwart of the Prem with plenty of experience albeit their away form has never been the best all though to be fair it has improved under Jol, it's just one of those games that could so easily go either way hence I would tend to leave alone.
If you twisted my arm though I would suggest Fulham dnb.

Stoke v Sunderland
I think I'll take a chance on Stoke here allthough the draw is strongly on my mind, even more so considering Sunderland are becoming the draw kings of the Prem lately.
It's just that Sunderland are lacking that cutting edge up front and against a physical side like Stoke might get even less chances than usual, whereas Stoke at home are a tough nut to crack and usually score the odd goal which will probably be all it needs to win this match.

Wigan v West Ham
I'm tempted to go with Wigan here but I'm pretty sure they haven't won a match at home all season, that added to the fact Caldwell seems to be struggling this term leads me to believe a physical presence like West Ham could steam roller him, Andy Carol if he plays could have a field day.
But then again if Wigan turn up and start knocking the ball about like they are capable of then they could play the hammers off the park, it's just that they haven't been doing that for the last month or so.
That being said it's going to end up a draw isn't it lol.
I'll edge my bets and select Wigan but wouldn't dare out money on it.

Man City v Swansea
Without trying to sound too presumptuous this should be a case of how many City will win by, even more so after the abysmal performance against Ajax midweek, I expect them to come out all guns blazing and win by a cricket score.
Fcuk what am I on about, It's City were talking about here, they'll dominate the match, miss half a dozen sitter's go a goal down then heroically win the game in the last 20 mins.
I'll go City -2 on the AH , anybody fancy Swansea to score?

Everton v Liverpool
Odds look about bang on for this match, my first thoughts are a draw but with Liverpool playing tonight I'm going to take a chance on Everton who have also had their best start to a season for a long while albeit looking a bit shakey this month.
Still when it matters at Goodison Everton usually know how to up the gears, it's just a pity Liverpool have a great record at Goodison lol.
I'm doing my usual stunt now of talking myself out of the bet, I think I'll listen to my inner self and opt for both teams to score instead.

Newcastle v West Brom
This is the sort of game where i usually wouldn't think twice about backing Newcastle @ home at evens but this year they seem to have lost that 'something' and I don't know what it is, whatever it was they may well need it against West Brom who look solid as a rock under Clarke, I don't see the baggies winning but they are certainly in with a shout of the draw.
could also be one for the unders.

Southampton v Tottenham
I think this game will be harder than those odds suggest but I still expect Spurs to come away with the points.
Southampton are going through a huge learning curve at the moment and don't seem to have the players to take the lessons on board.
I'm in no doubt the Saints will give it a go as they can't do anything otherwise but Spurs should have too much in their locker for them.
Spurs win.

Chelsea v Man Utd
A more than worthy finale to the weekend, this game no doubt will throw up its usual controversy one way or another with plenty of cheating, diving , crying etc etc but the way Chelsea have flew out of the blocks this season and the way United are conceding for fun tell's me the wisest bet is Chelsea dnb along with both teams to score and the overs, even though I am very tempted by Chelsea for the outright.

Good stuff Slick, though i thought Arsenal -1 is a risky one. I read/heard somewhere that Wenger and Bould had fallen out over defensive issues and that being the possible reason for the latest results. There's the Wallcott situation to add and QPR have picked up a little lately. Arsenal win but comfortably?

I'm definately of the same opinion with you on Spurs and i think i've found a value bet with them. Gareth Bale returns from parental leave after becoming a father for the first time this weekend and he's facing a former club. I think the best player in the Premiership is sure for a goal on Sunday and Blue Square are best priced for the Score/win double @ 100/30

Aston Villa seem to be having problems with their fitness levels at the moment. They seem to start games well but fade badly late on - a trend which seemed to start with the southampton game. This may be useful to bear in mind for in running bets ie if Villa take the lead then a lay may be of some value. Pre game though 16 is available on betfair for Ht/Ft Villa/Draw so I'll take a small stakes bet on that.

Man Utd have been behind seven times this season and gone on to win , worth a dabble on a Chelsea ( HT ) Man Utd ( FT )
28/1 with most bookies...

Right then my thoughts which dont mean much :lol

Villa vs Norwich - Villa 1.90 to win nope id rather not take that hasnt bent fallen out with the manager? I wouldnt be on Norwich either who havnt won away this season in the league yet, i think ill be taking over 2.5 @ 1.85 i expect a few goals today.

Arsenal Vs QPR Arsenal @ 1.40 really ill be taking that they should be lower imo yeah they played awful last week and midweek but that should be the kicking they need to get a good win also like slick said the -1 i expect to come in, i might have a wee dabble on the -2 @ 3.10 as well

Reading Vs Fulham has draw written all over it for me @ 3.30, it could well be the most dull match of the lot this week, I see Berbatov is 6/4 to score anytime ill have a small bet on that as well

Stoke vs Sunderland is a Stoke win for me Sunderland havnt had a bad start to the season but watching them last week they strugglred to break down a 10 man newcastle and didnt look convincing enough to me, Once again ill be having a smaller bet on stoke ht/ft @ 2/1

Wigan Vs West ham Wigan have been poor this season imo but no doubt at one point they will go on a run again when it will come who knows. BTTS has come in all 5 of West Hams games and 3 out of Wigans last 5 which is 1.66 however id rather take the over 2.5 @ 4/5

Man City vs Swansea i expect City to destroy Swansea today they need to and start winning comfortable again, yeah they were rubbish midweek but this is a swansea side who are apparently not getting on with each other or the manager, -2 on city is 2.75 ill be taking that as im expecting a 3-0, 4-0 win

Ive just done Arse v Hoops 0-1 on bet fair at 32s!

Now,I make no secret of the fact that I'm not a stats man.(To me,if you're making a profit from betting by spending hundreds of hours looking at stats you'd be much better off training to be an accountant- being an accountant being much more exciting and lucrative)

so,I accept I could be wrong....but Jeeeessuuss fucking Christ.....................

31-1 for QPR to sneak a 1-0 win at the Scum???

Shirley some mistake:unsure

I mean its not as if the game has to end that way-if QPR are 1 up after 60 mins you've made a v good profit......

and the 1-1 is 11!...........also done 1-2 at 29s and 0-2 at 75s and 1-3 at 110 for smaller stakes

Should be good games today viewing wise but from a gambling view they are tricky.

Punter has already mentioned Bale returning for Spurs which will be a boost but at odds on - bit shortish. Southampton have shown they can score against the bigger teams and I can see that trend continuing so Spurs will need to score a couple imo.

I vowed never to back Liverpool again because they are so up & down but that may change today. Everton are known to be poor starters over the last couple of seasons but I think that was down to injuries and this year they've started well but some performances have been poorish like game v QPR. I dont think this game will be 1-0 to either side. It'll either be 0-0 or loads of goals.

Chelsea v Man Ure. Chelsea's new signing are playing well and they will create chances yoday and with Man U leaking goals I cannot see Chelsea not scoring. I dont know if Terry being suspended is a + or - for Chelsea because he has shown against top class strickers he can struggle and can be a liability. With Rooney and RVP anything could happen. If Side Show Bob cuts out the fancy stuff and just sticks to defending then he could do ok. Ashley Cole is unhappy about being only offered a 1 year contract (clubs policy for over 30's) so the dummy may be out the pram if things dont go well. Poss Red Card in game.

I agree with you keg that picking a winner in the televised matches today is a difficuilt one .
Both games look like over 2.5 and BTTS to me but on investigating the prices I do not see any value there either
So looking at other bets I came across this one
Half Time Lead And Fail To Win @ 10 with Coral for Chelsea match and in the derby its 12
found this bet when I was looking for a penalty to be awarded bet which is 3.5 with skybet

I'm blaming the rainy day for my desperation for any bet on football today

p.s punter's recommendation of Bale to score is tugging at my betting neurons

message to self ...have a bet free sunday

Forgot to mention Newcastle v WBA.

This again could be a difficult call. On best form you would have to call Newcastle because they do have a talented side. Cabaye, Ba, cisse etc. Both Ba and Cisse score amazing goals but simple pass ins they seem to somehow screw up. They'll svore screamers from over 30 yards out but hit it straight at keeper from 3.

WBA have stared well and up till yesterdays results were sitting 6th or 7th.

Both teams are usually pretty stubborn at home but on away days they struggle but I'm sure WBA will be looking to leave with at least a point.

Another close call but possible home win edging it for me

Well the scouse derby is shaping upto be a cracker and we're only 20 mins in, the overs have allready gone.

Jones is having a nightmare in goals for Liverpool. He's just dropped the ball but you've got to blame hom for Evertons goal. He punched it straight into the danger area.

:banghead I should have followed punter's advice

15' Tottenham move into a 1 - 0 lead through a Gareth Bale header.

Aye great shout from Punter once more, if he carry's on like this I'm going to call for a drugs test.

wtf's Gary Neville on about saying the ref's bottled it? did he not see the Liverpool player with two hands on Jagielka's shoulders knocking the ball down to Suarez.

Right now sit back for Chelski v the rags, from a City point of view I suppose a draw or away win will be most beneficial, can't be shouting for those buggers though so :crossfingers it's a draw.

Bale/Spurs didn't quite rescue my weekend, but i'll consider it a saver.

Great shout Colbro clap

Shocking ref/linesman decisions in both live tv games today.
