Another tough set of fixtures.
Arsenal maybe now that United have won the title, or will it be a question of United now putting in some decent displays now the pressure is off, I'm very temped to go with the former though as no doubt United will have been partying all week.

Villa might be a decent shout but look bit short considering Sunderland's turn around under RdC, in the grand scheme of things it is must win game for Villa mind, Same too with Wigan I suppose even though they are playing Spurs, Wigan have put in some great performances of late but can't hit the back of the bloody net.

I'll be taking Southampton if I can get around evens, they have shown some great form at home seeing off a lot better opposition than the Baggies, I just hope they keep it up.

Might also have a wee Everton and Chelsea double at around evens.

Good luck Slick

I'm already on Spurs @ 2.11, it's a tough one but I just think they'll have enough to win this. I know Wigan have been playing well-ish but they are bottom 3 for a reason. It's a huge opportunity for Spurs to put the pressure on Arsenal the following day.

I'm pondering Sunderland DNB @ 11/8 or the draw outright for the Monday night game but i'll probably hold fire until after the Wigan v Spurs result.

Newcastle owe their fans a good home performance after the last one, I fear a bit for Liverpool here especially with Suarez dragging the club down again. Over 2/1 available for the home win, looks a touch big to me and I might take some insurance out on another bad Liverpool result here.

I have the Newcastle v Liverpool match down as a draw Punt, would have fancied Liverpool mind had Suarez been playing.
I've also scrapped my wee Everton v Chelsea double as I had forgot Chelsea were in the Europa cup this week, I know they should still win but it's not worth the risk imo at those odds , I'm adding City instead for around the same price.

I'm leaving the Spurs game alone Punt even though that's a good price for them because I have a sneaky feeling Wigan will get something from the match but you're doing well this season with your picks so I won't be suprised to see Spurs romp home.
Good luck too.

Roger de Courcey? Has he got Nookie Bear as his assistant? :unsure

lets hope by the end of the season Seen won't be wishing it was Roger de Courcey lol, (you googled the bleedin spelling of that name didn't ya)

A picture of Nookie bear was on the quiz show 'pointless' last week and for the life of me I couldn't think of his name, Lord Charles, Sooty, Basil Brush, Orville, Spit the dog, Nookie, my how we were spoilt for entertainment in those days.

Liverpool are the standout value price of the weekend for me at 7/5. Partly aided by the usual knee-jerk reaction to the fact that Hannibal Suarez is out so of course they can't win - bollox. Sturridge will be a different kind of threat, fair enough but he's a massive threat all the same and Liverpool will be pushing for the three points that they need to try to catch Everton. A draw is no good to them (although Newcastle may be happy enough to settle for it as the game draws to an end).

I wish I had the balls not to have a saver on the draw but Liverpool have let me down too often (they are the new Man City for me - they used to be the ones who always lost when I backed them and won when I backed against them).

It's a game I'm looking forward to watching and I'll be backing the often out of favour Jonjo Shelvey on goal minutes if he starts. I have absolutely no doubt he'll get five or six shots away but he may need that many to get one on target. He can strike a ball as sweet as a nut but more often than not, he doesn't.

Good shout on the Liverpool game ODM, I didn't see that one coming at all.

Newcastle's heaviest home defeat since 1925

I was on 2-1 & 3-1.....but i can live with losing the bet :)

This ain't sending you down, Seen, but it is sending Wigan because its clearing our goal difference against them....or possibly Newcastle I suppose :unsure

I can understand a red for a high tackle, mid shin or so, but didn't he just tread on his foot? :thinking

Villa players must of stayed at a Godolphin Stable this weekend.

lol, got the shock of my life when I just looked at the score, I've not been in long and forgot the match was on.

lol, harsh sending off but Villa deserve every one of those goals.

Huge result for Villa an those goals could be vital.
A win for Villa and Wigan this coming weekend would bring Norwich right back into the mix.

Norwich 35 -21 38
Sunderland 35 -12 37
Aston Villa 35 -22 37
Newcastle 35 -23 37
Wigan 34 -23 32
QPR 35 -27 25
Reading 35 -28 25
