For once I'm tempted by Villa but don't know if I have the balls to back them.

Sunderland too maybe worth a dabble as they are on a good run of form and Swansea now they are in the league cup final might suffer a couple of hicups before their big day.

I think Villa are a great price, but I'm the same as Slick :unsure bearing in mind I backed us at 2/1 @ Millwall. I have got a good feeling about tomorrow but it might be a 'scratching piles' type thing.....

I think Newcastle are going to thump Villa. Clubs are so far apart at the moment (obviously not in league positions) that I think the momentum is with Newcastle.

Newcastke are buying and selling players willy nilly where as Lambert has came out and said they've got to make do with squad they have.

Granted its a MASSIVE match for both teams. Colouchini is supposedly staying after allegedly getting a lass pregnant hence his Mrs buggering of back to Argentina/Brazil.

I was expecting a bigger price about Newcastle so I may not back them.

Tempted about Arsenal as well. I would have priced them slightly odds on so anything above Evens looks good in my eyes.

Putting the other side of the Villa/Newcastle argument. Villas fans accept we're in the shit, whereas Newcastles think theyre better than where they are, therefore I disagree.....but then I would :embarassed

I had a feeling Keggers or ODM would throw a spanner in the works just as I was getting geared up to release a fiver lol, I'm going to go ahead though as like Swoops I just have that feeling Villa will roll them over.

Granted Newcastle have spent quite a bit in the transfer market but its going to take a while for them to bed in , two terrible cup defeats for Villa and i still fancy them to turn the Geordies over..

Nah I'm with you guys on the Villa. I wouldn't touch Arsenal Kegs. Liverpool's lack of effectiveness against the top teams is well documented but to take that at face value would be to underestimate the performances that they've put in against some of them and I think they'll take a point off Arsenal on Wednesday. If Enrique is back at left back releasing Johnson to play at right back, they might even take all three.

I fancy a draw in the Arsenal game too, hot just because of Liverpool's ineffectiveness against top teams on the road but also because Arsenal look a bit lightweight and soft at the moment all over the park. Saying that I wouldn't like to bet on the game mind.

I also expect Everton to get back to winning ways against West Brom who themselves have lost their early season form but Evertons odds do seem on the short side.

I agree ODM/Slick, we were shocking, no embarrassing, yesterday. No excuses though but it's all about our next two games (Man City away on Sunday) and has been since we beat Norwich.

Rodgers, the team and the fans know the score regarding these two games, Rodgers has said himself that we need to win one of them to have any chance of keeping hopes alive of qualifying for the CL.

I think we might get 2pts from the 2 games though. You have to go back 14 games (all comps) for our last draw and that came on the back of another one. I'm backing draws for the two games.

I cant call the Villa/Newcastle game but i'm also tempted to take Sunderland as my only other bet here.

I agree swoops that the Newcastle fans think they are better/bigger than anybody else (wait till Seen adds his tuppence worth as i know he likes the geordie fans thoughts :) )

Saying that Newcastle are back to generating a lot of cash (obviously massive transfer fees play a big part of it) but I was reading that they are close to Shearer/Sheppard era again and are near turnover of £100m.

Goings off the park doesn't mean good tidings on thr park but I just think they are a fair bet.

Rodgers has slammed the youngsters at Liverpool and I think he himself has put a lot of pressure on the rest of the team to get results and against Arsenal & Man City he may walk away win no points. Cue easy 3-0 victories in both matches :cold

I couldn't touch Everton or Sunderland. As Sunderland games on the box I'm going 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3 for interest stakes.

Another game of interest is Fulham v West Ham. I'm surprised mire hasn't been made of Fulhams pathetic performance v Man Ure at the weekend. Jol came out and said the league was his main priority but instead of fielding kids he put out a strong'ish team but they never tried one bit so homes games like this have been penciled in a 3 pointers already. I don't know what to make of West Ham because some weeks tgey look have decent but the next they are sure fire relegation fodder.

I fancy draws tonight, taking out United. doubles & up the other 5

I'm all over Arsenal like a dug eating beans.

I've permed the with chelsea, fulham, spurs and barcelona

I'm leaving out everton game as i think that could go anyway and Man U will win but no bets jump out

This is where you c*nts ended up then!

What happened to the Daily Punt?!

THM

Just read the 'komp' thread which cleared a bit up!
