I'm thoroughly ashamed to admit that I considered the possibility that Wolves might actually keep the deficit against City down to two goals last night in the Carling Cup and thought about backing them on the Asian Handicap (after eventing goes both ways).
After last night, you'll be lucky to get any price at all on Saturday's game.

For some reason I thought the Everton United game was on live at Saturday lunchtime but I see it's Chelsea Arsenal which sounds like a better match but probably won't be. I'll try to get the United game on the net - any links here please. Bearing in mind the scare that Everton gave them last year the price looks a tad skinny on United but I'm taking it anyway.

I'd back Chelsea to beat Arsenal at evens. Not touching it at that stupid price though. No way Pedro.

Fulham look a decent price at Wigan, likewise Swansea in their contrast of styles against Bolton. Sunderland at just over evens - ooooooooh no, that's a lay for me. That lay and a back of Liverpool at West brom will be my biggest bets of this week in this league.

It's one of those weeks wehre the games don't look over tricky - it's all about taking the right prices though

Good luck all

Think the Villa game could be a very nervy affair personally. Sunderland have started to turn the corner a little but Villa might be at a bit of a crossroads. Successive defeats (3 if you include league cup) mean the half decent start is forgotten & it wont take much for the fans to be turning on Big Eck I dont think, possibly easier to cope with as its away but the players know they need a result. That with Barry Bannans suspension mean a no bet to me

What the fuck is this? A traffic report?

Sunderland may have turned the corner a little bit but you either turn the corner completely or you come off the road. I was guilty of thinking that Sunderland were going to have a good season (maybe top 8?) but I've seen more bad than good and I think Villa will hold them at least.

I wonder what the odds are of a Sunderland fan running on the pitch and sticking the nut in to one of Bent's two faces? And then stamping on his Judas head?

Aye, kiss the badge now, ya cunt :punch

Cheers for that analysis seen, anyroad I like Sunnerland v Villoh, the mackems have had a tough start and did well at Arse before turning in a decent second half v Notlob. Hats off to elephant man as his job was on the line. Villa were awful at THE ETHIAD STADIUM they just gave up after a nice start. A bad defeat last weekend and with Bannnen bannened I think 6/5 looks like a nice single

Fulham - price to short for a team that have achieved little from a very average set of away fixtures, and only a solitary goal too.
Swansea v Bolton - Is the draw an unlikely result here at 3.5? worth 1pt.

Im gonna try a bet ive never done before
Wigan to win from behind - 12s Ladbrokes 1pt

....I was gonna mention the Bent factor but got waylaid looking at the sat nav :lol

Anyway, your lot are obviously brighter than ours Seen, so look at the bright side. Barry Bannan tried to prove his allegiance by kissing the central reservation :help

Is he on the road to recovery now?

Last seen in a cab with Chris Rea :lol It'll bring Mickey back anyway, defending him cos he's Scottish

Swoopers youve lost me,whats the connection with thoose two?

Ehhm! some tastey fixtures this weekend.

First off I'll have some of United after the HUMILIATION they recieved last Sunday, it's always a tricky tie at Goodison but Everton are not the team they once were and the extra time they played last night in the league cup will have done them no favours in what was a pretty fiesty game.
United will be looking to get back on the rails again here and unless Rooney manages to get himself sent off I don't think they will have to much trouble.
United win @ what look like half decent odds imo.

Chelsea v Arsenal has the making of a good game but i won't be touching it, Chelsea seem to be fighting fire with fire at the moment and need to calm down a bit.
If Arsenal manage to keep their heads whilst all those around them are losing theirs the i can see them getting something from this match.
When i first saw this fixture I had Chelsea down for the win but something tells me Arsenal might just be on the change.

Wigan v Fulham is another I'll be avoiding, Wigan have started this season exactly the same way they started last, in the way they are creating chances but not putting them away.
Fulham on the other hand just don't do away fixtures and will probably be content with another draw.
Like i say no bet for moi but I'll hazard a guess Wigan well win this with Rodallega now he has a few games under his belt since coming back from Injury bagging one.

Swansea v Bolton is another toughie, on form its easy to side with Swansea but the physicality of Bolton could unhinge them here just like it did against Wigan at the DW a couple of weeks ago.
Its one of those that I'm just not sure about, so another I'd rather leave alone.

I am having a wee dabble on Sunderland though, slowly but surely they are showing improvement and eventually getting used to one another, Villa on the otherhand are a decent side but just seem to be lacking that bit of fight , it's like Mcleash can't decide on his best side and is still in the tinkering stage.
My only doubt is Sunderland being a bit on the short side imo and Villa being more than capable if they play to thier strengths of nicking something here.
Its another i suppose i shouldn't be touching but I just fancied Sunderland from the off when i first saw this fixture.

City look nailed on against Wolves and so they should be averaging around 4 goals a game, probably one for the AH.

I'm having some of Norwich aswell, I like what I've seen of them so far and going great guns at the moment.
Unlike Blackburn who try as they might just don't look upto the Premiership this season as we gathered b4 a ball was kicked and it looks like most of us were right, and once again the ET in the Carling cup will not have helped them prepare for this.
On the other hand the win may be the jolt they need to get their season going but i highly doubt it.
Norwich win.

I think Liverpool are worth a shout at evens, Liverpool seem to play well in games that have a meaning and I'm sure they won't want to let Dalglish down aganst their old gaffa Hodgson.
Two good wins on the bounce for the baggies after struggling for most of the season but they weren't excatly against quality opposition (sorry Swoops).
Liverpool win

Can't see anything other than a Spurs win but the odds don't interest me, another for the AH in my opinion as i expect them to win by at least a couple.
I'm also on Stoke as i can't resist them at home, it's just a pity it has to be a Monday night game as Pullis may well have their Europa cup match on the Thursday in mind and it gives Newcastle plenty of time to get last nights exertions against Blackburn out of their system.
Either way its never easy at the Brittania and i have a feeling Newcastle could well suffer their first league defeat here.
