Couldnt touch Villa Chelsea. Chelsea will have an eye on wednesday & Villa have no players although theyre only looking for a win to be safe & could do the double over Chelsea.
Ive got in my mind that Albion have won a couple @ Goodison so that bodes well at that price, everton have bigger fish to fry as well?
1.22 against sunderland? I wouldnt back Brazil against Sunderland @ that price
Likewise United away against Blackburn. Having gone through it in my relegation thread that got ignored last week :)lol) I still believe Blackburn are in trouble, but United looked far from fluent on monday & 1.4 is suicide

Newcastle surely shouldnt be 2.9 outsiders at home to Liverpool & thats simply name backing by the bookies. Newcastle look worth a bet, possibly Albion, but bet of the week is the 2.87 available on Bolton lifting themselves at Wolves

I think the Newcastle price looks generous too but you know i cant back them, i'd of expected 11/8 at best for the home there though.

Stoke are the value call for me this weekend 15/8 @ BetVictor, i know Wigan beat a world class team last week and they have improved but they can still be poor defensively and lack firepower. Stoke have been putting in some good performances lately and i think their style might be enough to get them their first win in 5 games

You looking at last seasons fixtures Punt, Wigan played Liverpool last week :unsure

Who's out for Villa then Swoop, Chelsea's priority will definately be Wednesday and they'll go to Villa trying to win it but would gladly take a draw before kick off. With the Petrov news i can see Villa raising their game for this one.

Dunne & Bent were long term, but Hutton & N'Zog are out now as well. heskey was getting really slagged by Moose on TS this morning, I nearly rang, very nearly. couple of the younger players are out as well. Big Eck was saying last week we had only kids left for the bench & gabbys been only half fit for a while.
Chelsea record against Villa isnt great, only 3 wins in 10 & its worse @ Villa Park, they didnt win there in any of their title wins, but this isnt the same Villa.
I'm thinking same as you Punt, & if Stans news was announced say wednesday, & Villa had time to come to terms & regroup, then yes, but a day? I'm not sure, I think it might be too soon tbh. Price says its worth a go though, & it could be either way I think but no middle ground, we'll either win or get thumped.
Are Birmingham on the tv tonight? I'll get vilified for this but dont underestimate how much they hate us (& we're no angels) & I wonder at the fans reaction. That might make tomorrow a cauldron if what i'm worried about happens :unsure

Jeez, what a couple of weeks :ohwell

I wouldn't touch Villa full stop allthough I have a feeling they will win this match, they need to do otherwise they will be right in the mix for relegation if they don't start pulling their socks up, thing is they seem to be playing half heartedly and if it continues they will be right in the shite.
I wouldn't trust em enough to back them mind but I'd rather take those odds against Chelsea than those that were on offer away to Arsenal last week, at least Villa are in with a shout here considering Chelsea will be eyeing up that Champs League semi spot.

I'm also going to go against you with Stoke Punt as I fancy Wigan here, they are on a good run of form at the moment and are at long last starting to find the back of the net, it's a toughie to call mind as Stoke have finally woke up after a couple of months off but they don't seem to put in a full shift away from the Brittania.

Theres not really much at all in the Prem I fancy this weekend, I'll give Newcsatle a slight edge over Newcastle because The Magpies love these big games at St James The sportsdirect.com stadium and with the added incentive of an outside chance of a CL place or securing European football they won't be taking this game too lightly.
Liverpool on the otherhand have gone off the boil since winning the Carlng Cup and now have eyes on another Wembley appearance but if they do decide to show up they have it well within themselves to win this hence it's another I won't be touching, looking at the odds though I'd say the value lies with Newcastle, could also be one for the overs and both teams to score.

Of the rest the Baggies look a big price but I wouldn't bet against Everton on current form, they have gone up another gear of late as they usually do at this time of the year but now they are in the FA cup semis there is a chance they might just take their foot off the gas.
Wolves v Bolton is too tight for me to call, If Bolton were slightly higher I might have been tempted to have had a dabble on them but if I were to back either side at those odds I'd probably opt for Wolves in what is really a shit or bust home game for them.

.

Exactly, now is precisely the time that Everton need to be opposed. Massive lay for me at under evens.

I have taken Villa @ 5.3 on Betfair. I'm not sure what that says about me tbh, I guess I'm thinking Villa will be galvanised by the Petrov illness. We have injuries but Chelsea have bigger fish to fry & a poor record against us. Its probably a fans bet but its quite big for me although its money I won on Birmingham last night
Taken a mixture of Gabby & 2-1/3-1, both first & anytime

5 changes for Villa, young side. Heskey out, Bannan, Herd in, weiman first start. Might be shrewd, there'll be no dissension as the fans will be fully behind the side, particularly in the 19th minute, Petrovs number. Sound the bugle, prepare to charge
