South African jockey Grant Van Niekerk has been sacked by the Hong Kong Jockey Club as the " result of a conduct-related matter which does not pertain to any race riding or other racing integrity-related matter. " Generally of the better jockeys out there and rumours seem to indicate a domestic incident, though the police were not called.
