10.40 Turffontein - SPARVIERO - Not badly bred and the stable can get winning newcomers, so not a completely forlorn hope at 40's.
11.00 Kenilworth - MANEKI NEKO - Ran a good race when third in his last start over this C&D. He came from just off the pace that day and stayed on nicely at the finish. Workriders event today, so should get pace to aim at again at 4's.
11.15 Turffontein - REMAINS OF THE DAY and THE PLAYBOY BOMBER - ROTD continues to run well and will be winning soon at 10's and TPB looks an interesting debutante at 12's. For a miracle tricast, there are worse 50/1 shots out there than SOVEREIGN'S CALL.
12.10 Kenilworth - OH YOKO and STU'S GIRL - Those with form look tough, but happy to go with this pair of newcomers at 20's and 25's respectively.
12.25 Turffontein - RED BOMBER - Course winner who remains in good form at 4's.
1.55 Kenilworth - HAT'S PRIDE - Did not look to see out the 1800m last time, but has won his only attempt over this distance. He comes into this race well treated at the weights and has champion elect Richard Fourie in the saddle at 4's.
2.50 Turffontein - THE INKOSANA - Bits and bobs of form since maiden win and certainly better than latest. Placed in only attempt over this distance and can still improve at 14's.
3.10 Kenilworth - GET IMPRESSED and LINDBERGH - GI is a tracker horse at 4's and Lindbergh has plenty of form and the plum draw to work with at 5's.
