11.35 Turffontein - CIRCUS LIGHTS - 6th last time, but not beaten that far. Continues to drop in the weights at 10's.

1.55 Turffontein - PRINCESS AZARIA - Continues to run well at 3's.

2.30 Turffontein - TWICE AS WILD - Generally consistent and continues off a fair mark at 8's.

2.57 Pau - ISFALIA - Nicely bred newcomer at 12's.

4.10 Deauville - MAIZIERES - Not shown a lot in 2nd season, but both runs as a juvenile read very well. Probably capable of much better at 8's.
 
2.50 Gowran - SHANTREUSSE - Good effort last time and step up in trip should be fine at 7's.

3.20 Southwell - ABNAA - Potentially very well handicapped and has a good draw to work with today at 9's.

3.55 Southwell - ITHRA - 10 race maiden, but ran respectably on last 3 starts. May get taken on for the lead, but capable of getting involved having eased further in the weights.

4.20 Huntingdon - MURIEL MAY and BELLA MONTROSE - MM ran well on debut and should improve today at 8's. BM's sole point was adecent 2nd, but flopped on debut under rules. Certainly bred to do better and with the right trainer at 66's.
 
2.45 Southwell - IMPULSIVE LADY - Bit big for one that may try to make all at 28's.
 
5.45 Newcastle - Retirement Beckons 14/1
6.45 Newcastle - Drakeholes 16/1

4 winners out of 5, with only Princess Azaria letting me down.Twice as Wild was backed into 5's, but the others all drifted 4 points.
 
7.15 Newcastle - VECCHIO - 33/1 shot on debut ( beaten a fair way, but form decent ) and single figure price every run since. Back off a break today, but on stable debut and overall 40's just looks too big.
 
Had a 50p EW accumulator on all 5, so Princess Azeria winning would have meant something in ther region of £100k. Was actually a big drifter to 11/2, so not a big shock that she under - performed. Managed to get the 4 timer at 29835/1 plus trebles, so definitely still a big day.
