Horse Racing Bets Friday 20th November

Much better in the UK last Friday, but do still like my weekly date with Greyville. Quite a variation of both bets and prices and certainly got my fair share of " Roughies " - Starting off with a Lucky 15 -

5:15 Greyville - GINGER QUILL - 10/1 Shot on debut, though never seriously put in the race. Every right to expect a bit more today and the early price of 66's is vastly different. Immediately upped in trip and certainly bred to be decent.

6:15 Greyville - AUTHORICE - Quite short at 6's, but did need both comeback runs and will be fitter today. Certainly has the form to go close.

6:45 Greyville - SELVAN'S JET - Prince of Arabia does worry me, but he has his share of weight. Can't knock the form of SJ, who also runs the surface well.

7:45 Greyville - DARK AVENGER - Too many 2nd's for comfort, but arrives here in fair form and the booking of Anton Marcus does catch the eye.

4:05 Greyville - DING DING and DICTATE - Poor so far, but noticeably short in 2nd of 3 maidens and bred to appreciate the switch to Poly. Upped in trip as well and would expect more today at 25's, Dictate is off a short break and has only hinted at ability so far. Again is debuting on the Poly and does look interesting at 14's with Keegan De Melo booked.

4:40 Greyville - FERRA ROCHA and ROY'S HONOUR - The Deacon and Winter Auralius, should both be up there, but can't have either at the price. FA is a nicely bred debutante and EW interest at 33's. RH is one of 3 for the stable and again looks nicely enough bred to make an impact.

5:45 Greyville - Combination FC / TC with these -

DRURY LANE ( Consistent round here recently, though this is tougher. Still EW potential at 16's )
QUINTELA ( Always a threat here and won't mind the step up in trip )
BEE MY HONEY ( This is her trip and every chance on form of 2 races ago. Well behind Quintella before that though, but a definite danger if on a going day )

5:15 Wolverhampton - APOLLO ELEVEN - Decent sort, with fair form who does get the trip. Might just need it after a break, but does still appeal at the price of 18's

6:35 Dundalk - SHARJAH - Not as consistent as last winter, but good effort last time and a repeat has him up there.

7:05 Dundalk - FIORBHEIM - Stable in decent form and fair chance if running near rating of 73.

9:05 Dundalk - GREAT WIDE OPEN - Handles the poly and is well handicapped. Big doubt is the trip, but do feel he will see it out.

DICTATE 3rd at 18's
Both poor in the 4:40 and naturally Winter Auralius and The Deacon were the first 2 home. Annoying, but just felt they were too short at 7/2 and 14/5 respectively.

7:50 Kempton - ZE KING - 2nd start for the McCain stable and IMO a shade big at 33's

Not the best so far, but SELVAN'S JET has just won. Still need a bit more, so picking 4 in the penultimate race and looking for the FC or hopefully TC -

7:15 Greyville -

IN THE TRENCHES ( Went a bit quiet after a good win from a car park draw, but more like it last time )
BORN TO RULE ( Fair comeback run, decent overall from and bagged a good draw in 2 )
KING'S APPROVAL ( Poor last 2, but worth a crack at the trip and early 40's is now 25's )
PEARLY KING ( Beaten under 10 lengths all recent starts, so not the no hoper that 66/1 suggests. Does get the trip and also interesting now back on the Poly )
