Main action is on ITV / RUK and the Curragh does not start till 3.10, so plenty of live South African racing on ATTHERACES this afternoon. Starting off with a lucky 15 across the 2 cards -

11.40 Greyville - PERSIAN RUG - Holds some fair efforts against stronger opposition and interesting at 6's with Anthony Delpech back up.

12.15 Greyville - ICY SPIRIT - Back down in trip and does seem to prefer this c & d, well drawn in pole and dangerous at 14's

12.25 Kenilworth - REDIAL - Nicely bred newcomer at 7's.

3.45 Greyville - HO'OPONOPONO - Bit more like it last time under this jockey and should be capable of making an impact off 73. Definite place prospects at 12's

11.50 Kenilworth - BOLD ASSASSIN and COMMISSIONER - Not keen on the fancied horses at the prices so taking a flyer on this pair, both at 40's. Would certainly expect improvement on each count.

12.50 Greyville - HOLD THE LINE and QUINTELLA - Do prefer both of these over the 6f and Quintella definitely looks over - priced at 12's.

2.00 Greyville - FROSTY FRIDAY and FANTASY LADY - FF was outclassed at the highest level on ' Durban July Day' but she had two eye-catching comeback attempts prior to that and the switch to the Poly could help. Looks to hold a decent chance at 8's. FL showed a bit more last time, though may need to eke a bit more out to win today. 12's looks a fair price for her to do so.

2.35 Greyville - The Grade 1 Mercury Sprint is the big event of the day, so going with 3 -

BRUTAL FORCE ( 5 from last 10 and last time can be ignored. Anton Marcus has won twice on him and is back up today. Definite contender at 14's )
LONDON CALL ( Needs to improve on last time, also in a grade 1. Keagan DeMelo takes the ride and is drawn to attack in 4 )
CHAMPAGNE HAZE ( Draw no help, but back to best latest and can get involved at 16's )
