10.35 Turffontein - MR FIRE EYES - Showed the benefit of his fair debut as he made steady progress for a creditable 4th in a feature event last time. Stable 2nd string today, but very surprised by the early 8's on offer.

MFE 3rd. The next race is a not untypical maiden, with a very unbalanced book. The top 3 are 2's on, 5/2 and 4's and could make strong cases for all 3. No value so therefore taking a flyer with a couple of real " roughies "

11.05 Turffontein - BUNCH OF THYME and ROYAL WARRANT - BOT, showed enough on debut to justify a small EW at 50's. RW really has to be better than she has shown in either run to date. Speculative punt at 100's
